Bird Photography in the Masai Mara, Marsh Owls - WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY ON SAFARI
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
I had one of the most memorable wildlife weeks of my life. I spent a week visiting a family of Marsh Owls. It has been my dream to photograph owls in grassland, and it finally happened. I wanted to create a three image story and in this video you seem me capture them.

Need a "handmatron"? I'm your girl...well, older girl ;) Lovelovelove your art. Lovelovelove Masai Mara too. Keep it up, dear young man.
Wow very good
Superb shots and a Superb Video ❤ Love it
These Owls seem to be very much like Short Eared Owls like we have here in the East of USA Where I live. I have photographed the Short Eared Owls here for years and I know what a challenge it is. Great Video.

Thank you so much Ian that means a lot. I had a lot of fun making this video and to hear you enjoyed it is fantastic
What a wonderful video
Great video Felix, and I totally agree with you about watching the smaller stuff on safari. Unfortunately, unless you’re in camp for weeks or have your own safari vehicle, opportunities are slim. I’ve often had days when I’ve ignored the big game in favour of birds (especially the Lilac Breasted Roller), and smaller predators like bat-eared fox and serval. I’ve yet to see a Caracal though which is a goal of mine.
Awwwww, just beautiful !!! I don't remember seeing these owls in the Maasai Mara. I've seen a lot of birds, widowbirds, those Lady Ross turacos, etc. You got such incredible pix. Their call is so unusual.

They are often not seen but I love owls and it was a wonderful week making this video. Shortly after finishing the video the chicks fledged and I never saw them again. Thank you.
Great video and beautiful pictures!!

I saw one Marsh Owl (an other sub-species! of course) in northern Yukon hunting together for more than an hour with an Arctic Fox in summer 2012. It was actually this Owl who pointed the fox to me! Thanks to her as it was my very first Arctic Fox.
