I know. I don’t understand how American nature documentaries continue to get it so wrong. This video of the bird is taken from a David Attenborough segment for BBC Earth and it shatters Nat Geo in quality. It doesn’t need loud noises and constant stimulation to keep your attention. The nature is the true centerpiece. The narrator is so aggressive as well. He isn’t narrating a scene from some action film. This is a nature doc.

The lyrebird's ability to imitate so many different sounds is related to the structure of its vocal apparatus. The lyrebird has a complex anatomical structure that enables it to produce a variety of tones and sounds. Its vocal cords are very flexible and can vibrate quickly, allowing it to produce rapid and complex rhythms. In addition, the lyrebird has a "singing bank" made up of specially modified feathers. These feathers produce sounds when they rub against each other, similar to a violin or piano. The lyrebird can play these feathers with its wings or tail, producing a variety of tones. It is believed that the lyrebird's ability to imitate so many different sounds is part of its mating strategy. The lyrebird's complex and diverse repertoire serves to attract and impress females. By imitating a variety of sounds, the lyrebird signals to females that it is healthy and strong, and possesses good genes.

It is a sad fact that the bird mimics chainsaws because it was near chainsaws cutting down the forest
"This bird is more than a snazzy solo, he's a whole glee club!" "Now he's practically one of the Paparazzi!" *obnoxious background music* Ugh, where's Attenborough when you need him.
Holy CRAP that was fucking amazing
"Shake that tail feather for me baby!!" 😂😂😂😂
Bruh that’s the next level mockingbird right there XD *im sorry I couldn’t help myself*
Okay, good. Now imitate the screams of citizens that were traumatized by the fall of wall Maria.
Too bad they had to add crappy music.
Quick! Let this bird hear the sound effect of goku turning into a super saiyan.
Awh, that was precious. I laughed when he mimicked the car alarm.

Hey welcome back to Barry train. Hey Barry, bye Barry. I love you.
...What if he mimics porn sounds, like moans... He he...
Imagine walking through the forest and hearing a huge growl and you think it's a bear or smt but it's actually a bird
28” long, that’s a lotta extensions!
I can't believe this is frickin' real.
The background music is too loud.
2:34 oh SHUT UP! He's perfect!
Who's with me?! Let's go show them some Dragonforce. Whole jungle will be a fucking metal concert after it

Its sad that this bird knows the sound of chainsaws....I wish we could find something with the equivalent of wood to build with for the future...

It's a nature preserve and felling over-abundant areas is important to keep the region healthy.

Watch out for the Grump Bump!
Imagine camping at night only to have one of these decide it’s a prime time to become a chainsaw...
And drowned it out with background music. Genius.
This video was edited. They cut out the part where the bird did a Christopher Walken impression.
The only car in the jungle is getting nicked.
2:14 a perfect imitation of a blow-fly
Could you imagine if he was just outside and made the car alarm for days. In the middle of nowhere, where no cars are. Would drive someone insane
this bird is a tattle tale tells all. Vhimsaw noise? Obviously people cutting down trees. Car alarm? people driving and setting off their noise for some unknown reason. Camera noise? People taking way too much pictures

To be fair, a bird can probably remember the sound of just one camera shot.

iguana overlord that's not a zoo if you actually watched the video

Chantel F the car alarm indicates the bird is in an urban area, the camera suggests that is frequented by both tourists and photographers and the chainsaw suggest landscaping, something very common in zoos. Don't trust the documentary at 100% they sometimes add stuff in order to make it sound more appealing.

iguana overlord lol if you ever been to a zoo you'd know these animals are in closed confined spaces for it's a zoo. There would be a roof ahead of the animal so it would not fly away and so visitors can actually see them and not have to search. Where in the video do you see that. Those trees are tall as like they're grown outside not in. Also positive a car wouldn't actually randomly drive inside a zoo and somehow set off a alarm for the bird to remember and mock it. When you take pictures of animals in a zoo, there's always some wall so the animal can actually attack people. Also postie a zoo doesn't "landscape" with a chainsaw as chainsaws in the wild are used to cut down trees. Why would a zoo want to cut down trees made for the birds...?
This sounds so much like Egoraptor.
