Biréli Lagrène is a French guitarist and bassist. He came to prominence in the 1980s for his Django Reinhardt-influenced style on the guitar, as well as for being a jazz fusion virtuoso on the electric guitar. He often performs within the swing, jazz fusion and post-bop mediums.

I amazed at how this man can play any style of music ..He can out shred any rock star.
It's very sad that a legend has only 112k views. I can see somebody unknown who posts a video on how to tune your guitar has millions views and yet his guitar aint tuned at all.

What I like about this is that its musical. I have heard so many guitarists play this as a dry boring speed scale exercise, ten million noteswhich always sounds impressive for a few seconds until one realizes that its speed typing, not music. This is music and you caught Django very nicely, with your own ideas mixed. I'll study this as a guitarist and a violinist!

Idk about that. I remember watching a video of him getting booed when he was a kid. He wasn´t that good. And also... I don´t think just beacuse you are a prodigy it means you are good., you still need to practice a lot and well, practice in a good way. And fuck.. Birelli really did it , didn´t he lol

I agree completely. Most people are good at doing something. Some people are exceptional. Very few people are exceptional: about more than one thing. What's he gonna do next? Bowl a 300 game? Score two holes in one? Birelli should be investigated.

Excuse me while I pick up my jaw off the floor... Mr Lagrene is just phenomenal.
He is understated, but contains a lot of power and mastery that he can unleash at any moment if he so chooses.
I follow Bireli since he's released album "15". More than 40 years ago. He was born with a guitar in his hands
Even with severe intonation issues on the violin, he's 25% better than 120% of all violinists playing today.

I´d love to see him if he practised violin as his main instrument for at least one year. I don´t think he would have intonation issues after training just a bit.
