If you plan on trying this, wear gloves, eye protection, and a respirator. The edges are very sharp, there'll bits of rock flying straight at your face, and the silica dust can damage your lungs. Massive respect to our ancestors for manufacturing tools like this without safety equipment, would've been very risky!
