It's kind of useless honestly, most of the time it's just better hip-firing during combat, because you're able to move around freely. I don't think anyone would Aim whilst killing a big daddy.

I think these are pretty good to be honest, they’re very stylish and while I get the models aren’t perfectly animated I feel like that gives them a lot of charm. Bioshock was weird and the “fallout new Vegas” quality animations add to its legend imo

@@jco_sfm it makes a bit more sense when you consider the clip/cylinder upgrade. Though it bending 100 degrees is pretty weird Personally I think for their time, these reload animations are mostly not all that janky unless you pay attention to them.

@@jco_sfm and it's incredibly based and stylistic because of it. stands apart. I do agree with you on a technical level, though - pretty amateurish.

Till this day the door still feels violated

Crossbow is my go to in this game every time. Ten times damage on headshot makes it a one hit kill even on Survival as long as you can aim, the bolts are half the price of shells or grenades, and putting those electric trap bolts down a hallway and goading a Big Daddy into charging you makes him hurt badly. Not to mention, you can swap to your plasmids between shots and swap back to cancel the lag between shots, which lets you pack a shitload of burst damage in a small time frame. The upgrade to recover your bolts more often is just the cherry on top, not only are the bolts cheap but now you hardly need to buy them at all. More money for first aid kits and eve hypos? Hell yeah.

Plus there’s an exploit when you can fire 2 bolts for the price of 1. Making it absolutely insane. Shot and switch to a different ammo type at the *NEARLY* same time. Rinse and repeat. Flamer is the best though tbh. GL also has a OP exploit that turns it into a machine gun lmao. Shot then quickly switch to plasmids then back to GL. Rinse and repeat. The game on the hardest difficulty is piss easy with those two exploits. 🤷‍♂️ The achievement wasn’t even that hard tbh.

Chemical Thrower is the best "fair" stun lock with electric gel I've found outside of animation cancel gun switching electro slugs with the shotgun and the rocket launcher or something.

No kidding this is my fav games

I love the look of all the upgraded weapons. BTW nice video.

Best weapon in the game for me, thanks to the semi auto fire rate upgrade.

Removing the shotgun recoil is always my first upgrade, unbreakable arrows is always my last.

Bioshock is amazing and fun it was one of the first fps that is innovative and still fun to this day.

Maybe, I Might Get It For My Birthday

for those who doesn't like the chemical thrower because its slow reloading, oh god it listed 2nd of my favorite weapons in bioshock after shotgun. the napalm and electric gel is capable to lock and kill any annoying splicers and big daddies, everytime i invent ammos in u-invent machine, electro gel or napalm are both always counted on my list. if you fully upgraded this weapon in power to the people station (in good hands) you're O.P! pistol and crossbow are my least favorite weapons.

Bruh the shotgun sound effect though…

wait a minute... YOU COULD AIM IN BIOSHOCK THIS WHOLE TIME?!?! I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY HIPFIRE

I swear, the Chemical Thrower to this day has one of the most satisfying reload animations to ever grace a fps. It's so cleanly done and paced and the sounds are so perfect. I love this game man. Top 5 games ever made. I'm thinking of getting it on Steam just so I can work on platinuming it.

That’s just because jack has probably only ever used a “pistol” and remember he’s still under mind control so they probably drove it into his mind how to use other firearms

This is the reason why I love the Bioshock one and two, plus I know people are going to give me hate about infinite and I know there's a dlc where you go back to rapture but still I still don't like the game and plus I do like some of the powers in the game like electricity plasmid or you see crystals coming out of your hands that was my favorite one and the fire one

dude for me the shotgun has a distinct noise

Personally, I think aim it just broken, not well made of planned. Crossbow basically doesn't have sights, grenade launcher has one but its basically useless and chemical thrower doesn't need one. The only guns that would rarely being aimed will be SMG and pistol, both having misaligned sight from the center of the screen, witch is where bullets go. Probably the point of it would be something like fallout 3, when you don't actually aim, but zoom the gun and make a little more precise shots thanks to that. Anyway, it stills odd

Yeah, the aiming is odd and I never really ended up using it. I think they did aiming better in Bioshock 2.

The submachine gun reload looks awesome in my opinion

I hated the sound of the weapons, I had the trilogy and tried each game for like an hour and I thought this is a "bad game"! If the weapons sound like pea shooters I have a hard time getting into the game but I beat (dom3) and started to appreciate it because of the enemies, the sounds of them ect and the horror element of the game but this universe never appealed to me although the enemies in the previews looked cool I never seen the best enemies and that could have changed things for me but when I play a game I want it to sound like I'm on a battle field!

The trilogy is just a remaster of the original games, if you didn't know yet, these games released around 2007-2013, and I don't think you expect an old game to have quality sounds of guns, now do you? Only peashooter gun I could see your talking about was the Tommy, I agree it doesn't sound good. But hey, just saying.

@@therealransu Half Life two still to this day out of all the fps games I've played has far superior sound quality than this game and every cod game I've played (by far) that came out around (2001) and the last cod game I played was black ops 3! That's not even mentioning the physics, animation, plot, ect, and you can watch demonstrations on KZread of the game! Actually I liked the sound of the weapons better on (perfect dark) better than not only this game on a N64 cartridge than I do this game and you can listen to demonstrations of that on KZread as well, none of this side by side but it really isn't to hard to tell, not to mention that both games even had more grit to them than this, blood would splat everywhere on (perfect dark) for the N64 and you could even hang enemies to walls with a crossbow. Compare the actual sound of these guns, it would be a quick search...

@@MrBlack-wt5er My friend, I was a cod fan even before I discovered the BioShock franchise! I even played Black Ops 3. But I do agree and see what you mean. The game's guns sound are quality and crisp. They sound so realistic as if you were in a battlefield. It seems that you more on to the realism of video games, but there's nothing wrong with that.
