BioShock 2 - "Chasing Shadows"
Музыка
Song by Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli & Quintette Du Hot Club de France, 1935, in BioShock 2.
This song plays during the loading screen of the Adonis Luxury Resort. I like the resonant quality of this recording that is much different from the version on the CD of the game soundtrack.
You can listen to more music like this at my online Pandora Radio station, "Rapture Radio": www.pandora.com/station/583649...

Thurex MLG The game doesn't start until you press "X" or "A" (depending on which console you use). You can listen to the whole song or skip it. Either way you have to manually press the button to start the game whether you want to skip it or not, so I don't understand...

This song was one from the 1930's. 1935, specifically, is when Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli & the Quintette Du Hot Club de France performed it. So, this is historic music from France during the WW2 years.

Such wonderful music lost to the ages, from well them being dead and no one really remembering the good old classics. Also for some reason when my little brother listened to one of the songs he said it was stupid. I guess this is where society has gone from, music that used to be wholesome and amazing down to ugh. Twerking dougie, and every sort of horror that would make them turn over in their graves hearing about this.

Well it's not that all young people hate this. I'm 13 years old, and my family says I have an "old soul". I agree with them because I like antiques and retro things. And I really like this kind of old music

Necromaster2077 Well played and sometimes I do feel a bit old, or even feel like wearing a different type of wear. Be it Roman, Victorian or whatever it is during around the 1800s New England, or even around anything that fits my mood. And hooray for retro things, either way still beats some of today's music. Especially the evil people that has ruined movies and music for a long time until they're forgotten. This is why we need to lose those time capsules.

***** That it is, if it was never for the Bioshock series I would never of known this kind of music was so wonderful. Well wonderful compared hearing the same thing over and over again just a beat here or a another voice instead. You know that sort of thing that it is now even with the thing they call dubstep and yes rave would count as well.

BRYONO14 I feel the same way. I felt like wearing Victorian clothing, so I did it. Now I dress like that all the time, and yes, I tend to get odd stares, but I'm not changing for them. I guess my point is, if you feel like expressing yourself, even if it's not the status quo, screw society and do whatever. You probably already know this though. Cheers
@BRYONO14

WilfordBrimley Thanks and besides it does feel kinda fun to dress like they did be it for a con or just out of personal interest sort of way. Besides they're not you and can't even dicktate of what you say, wear or do. (Yes I spelled it like that since they can be a dicktator with judgement.) It's like what people order in the mail, as long it's not something dangerous they have no control over what you order. Besides it's always more to express yourself once your out of High School. Since you don't have as much of the peer pressure on you from your peers and all. Either way seems to deal with less of the bull once your out of there. But either way it's always good to be yourself.
I love the loading screens. Its like the crusty music is coming from those crusty speakers

I highly recommend Bioshock 1 and 2. Its just a classic for it self even its not that old. Bioshock 3 is also good but will never get the vibe from 1 & 2. I really hope for a fourth part again in Rapture with this wonderful atmosphere in high end graphics.
Well I mean it's probably just static, some echo and treble to give it that tinny feel, and maybe a few minor pops in there to get that authentic record sound, but I'm not sure they used many pops outside the beginnings
I thank Fallout and Bioshock :D

Same haha . It also kinda gets me in a introspective mood thinking about the game.
this could be straight from the record... maybe...could've been ripped and edited sounds good anyhow : p
the thimg is bioshock 2 is more into bioshock Lore since you play as a bog daddy and weapons and such are quicker, BUT in the first one you are im the middle pf the story and its deffo more interesting (story-wise) both games are great bit 1 succeds by a mile its just sad that Infinite was well known a lot cause they had more budget and was focused on story but the forst 2 had an atmosphere that could never be replaced
Anyone else think that thing in the loading screen almost looks like a helmet for some unique type of Big Daddy? (except for the screen of course)
Best song out of the game in my opinion. Was this song taken from a real song? Or is this song truly FROM the game?
So Max, how's the 7th grade treating you? Going into 8th straight away, or summer school first?

Whoops! looks like i died again totally not in purpose... oh wait! did i deactivated the Vita cameras? too bad, time to restart the whole level.. oh? is that music again? can't help myself but listen it for a few seconds... im not complaining at all!
I stare amongst the giant pillars I walk into the light to see a massive spacecraft getting built by extraterestrial beings... I wait for them and I walk up massive steps and look out at the view of flashing lights and beautiful festive explosions wondering why? While being so satisfied gazing upon another land far in the distance... I noticed that the stars above me are colours apart from the spectrum as I see a beautiful lady in an Angellic white dress playing the instrument upon the steps Guiding the band... I gaze forward and absorb the ambiance and almost fall asleep wondering what my purpose is the lady aproaches me and hands me a silk blanket I wrap it around myself after thanking her... A massive hovering metal structure starts flying off in the distance in which looks to have dropped a chemical cloud the pillars above the steps lifted over the crowd and the Wise owl laughed at the old rich folks of the land the doors in which you couldn't perceive were opened Everybody slipped off I was alone frightened... I climbed on top of the structure above the massive steps the strange planet seamed to be flat even though the idea of a flat plane was ridiculous to me I accepted it anyway and seamingly enjoyed the scenery of the cracked plane and watched as the purple sun reached the bottom of the plane rising back up into what appeared to be day time the water surrounding the island gained its reflection and suddenly a giant shiny bronze robotic human like structure at a collosal height stomps in the distance with its head so high swatting the attacking military planes surrounding it's head and battling them his eyes glowing blue and he gazed towards me in the far far distance my eyes zoomed in!!! Then I wake up on a roof in an earthly city white birds fly away into the ocean sunlight I sip my chalice on the throne and begin to tear up... As the ghostly figures called out to me into the waterfall canopy......👻👻👻
