Thanks a lot, last time this happened to me I had to unplug all the wires and the cmos battery but this time I fixed it by only taking off the hard drive wires from the drive and motherboard and plug them back in, so thanks again :)

Also don't forget to check your boot priority. Make sure your boot drive is number 1 priority or the computer will try to load from another drive and will not work and will default to the bios.

My issue is when I turn on my PC it has no boot priority and my drive doesn't show. I have a single m.2 SSD. It says something about SATA storage only, but when I click it - it says it's 0.0GB and it shows no m.2's - if I power the PC OFF from BIOS then back in, loads fine. I notice if I restart my PC it loads fine. It just seems to be the 1st boot of the day after a shut down

@@zhurongonmars6256 If you have more than 1 drive the PC needs to know which one to start from. This is your boot priority. I it gets changed then the drive it is trying to boot from does not have the operating system it will generally default to the BIO scree,

My laptop wakes up from sleep directly into BIOS setup, and when I exit BIOS my laptop asks me for the password - then everything goes fine. This is the second time it happened in the last few months. The laptop went into Windows 10 without problem. The BIOS can be entered without password, but Windows need password. I am concerned someone may have tampered with my laptop during my absece. Could that be a possibility?

I wonder if you can help me I bought this feeling work computer from eBay everything works fine except it needs to unlock the BIOS I can't update the BIOS without unlocking it do not know how and on top of that I cannot contact the seller and on top of that it will not do any updates without unlocking the BIOS can you please help this is stressing me out
