That opening line hit me like a damn semitruck. Didn't know what to expect with a title like that, but certainly wasn't left disappointed

And by that time Lego hadn't ever previously marketed or supported a product line for that long. So overall I'd say yes Bionicle did have fans.

Phantoka was the last bionicle set I liked. It wasn't great, but it was still fun.

I actually choked on a Bionicle piece as a kid and convinced my friends mom not to tell my mom so she’d let me get more Bionicle in the future

This is even better than the old Ratchet & Clank commercials that just went "screw it" and had the cast members playing with real life versions of all the weapons and destroying the neighborhood.

Growing up with these taught me two things; Learning about mechanisms and the other was being committed to being a nuisance.

“Fake, irresistible gummies” I can tell you I felt the darkness taking over as I chomped on those cute Shadow Leeches!

Holy shit. Seeing them in the packaging at the end fired every neuron in my brain at once. Ancient memories of riding home from the store with a new Bionicle. Reading the booklet and starting to put it together in the back of the car. Already fantasizing about the cool fights it's gonna have with my other toys. Thinking about what parts I can mix and match to improve my other Bionicles. The distinctive smell of the plastic. The satisfying "SNAP!" as you clicked the joints together. Goddamn that was a good toy, haha.
