I was having surgery on my appendix and I briefly remember hearing the assistant say I’ll roll over the trash bag for ya to the surgeon. I was going under anesthesia and I feel like I remember being scared because my body part was gonna be in the trash. Then the assistant said to surgeon she will incinerate when it’s disposed of in trash bin #2 and to him which i was purely terrified

Iv set & syringes are discard in red dustbin

The US does it way differently then yall do. We dont have needle desyroyers for example. They should not place the bins like that cause people could accidentally put it in the wrong one. They should not be in an open area and so low to the ground. In the US they are higher and isolated and have a lid.
