Buddhism was the religion of kings only it was not spread in common people of that time. Realistic nahi hai ye ke ek raja itne bade desh ka religion change karwa de.....muslims to 600 saal rah gye karwa paye kya....??? So, it was basically misinterpreted in history that Pushpmitra Restablished hinduism..... hinduism was already there.

Puspmitra Sung was real saviour of India and re established vedic religion and culture. Maurya empire was established by a brahamin Chanakya who made Chandragupta Maurya the emperor of India. Chandragupta Maurya was great emperor who defeated greeks and become greatest Hindu Samrat. Hinduism was later discarded by his grand son emperor Ashok who embraced Buddhism and under Ashok , Buddhism prevailed in India.

बुद्ध का तो एक ढेला भर प्रमाण नहीं मिलता है अशोक से पहले और जो बुद्ध की मूर्तियां मिलती है वो भी कुषाण कालीन है, तो प्रश्न उठता है कि बुद्ध धर्म 2500 साल कैसे पुराना हो गया? इस बात का सबसे तगड़ा तथ्य ये है कि सम्राट चन्द्रगुप्त के समय आए यूनानी इतिहासकार मेगस्थनीज ने अपनी किताब इंडिका मे कही भी बौद्ध धर्म का कोई जिक्र नहीं किया है।

Nicely depicted but there is no archeological evidence of vaidic religion before Asoka or during pushyamitra sung. As pushyamitra became king after assassination of earlier king Brihadrath so it is natural that people (Buddhist monks and general population) to oppose him and not cooperate with them. Further he must be Buddhist king only as written Buddhist texts and he must of destroyed things fom where he got opposition. He fought war with Mathura... which was Buddhist centre and power. So he has strong opposition in the country and finally assassinated as given in the Buddhist texts. Almost all brahminical text written much later after thousands of year in the form of story and religious falvour with biases so can not be believed. Correct your observations and do not be biased.

Mahan Pushyamitra Shung was a senapati of last Maurya king Mahendra. The Maurya were not great but cruel and they got throne at the mercy of another cruel selfish Chanakya who did not shame to invite the Greeks to defeat his own king Maha Padamanand. Maurya turned to Budhdhist and did many brutal attacks on Vedics Hindus. Thanks to a brave Brahmin Senapati Pushyamitra to kill those vulgar Maurya and re-establish Vedic rule. The history we learnt was written by Budhdhist Scholars. There are original history available in Vedic Books too.
