Bio Bidet Ultimate 770 Smart Bidet from Costco - Honest Review - Gemelle Channel

Ғылым және технология

Available on Costco.com.
A quick review of the Bio Bidet Ultimate 770 Smart Bidet including basic remote control settings.
We did consider Toto and Brondell brands but settled on Bio Bidet because the Toto C200 was out of stock. Costco only carries the Toto A200. Brondell was a bit pricier than this version of the Bio Bidet at Costco so we took a chance with the Bio Bidet.
It should work well right out of the box. If you have any bracket issues or technical issues then it should be brought to Costco's attention immediately. We purchased 3 of Bio Bidets and one of them had issues with the brackets and the seat is not 100% stable. I checked the reviews on Costco.com and a few others mentioned the same issue. Our other 2 Bio Bidets had no such bracket issues. Now we're just waiting on a bracket replacement.
We primarily chose the Bio bidet due to its price, Costco return policy, the metal spray nozzle (not plastic), and the kids setting availability on the remote. Of course the instant warm water is a must. I don’t know how the unit does it, but there’s no reservoir yet it warms the water instantly when we need it.
PRO TIP Added 7/25/2021: There are 4 levels for the Seat Warmer and Water Temperature.
1) Off
2) Green - Lukewarm
3) Orange - Warm
4) Red - Hot
When we go on vacation, we turn it off. When we return and it's in the summer, we have it on green. When it's winter, we have it on orange. After being spoiled by this bidet, we miss it when we're on vacation and have to sit on cold toilet seats. The countries we travel to have bidets as well but the water is always cold.
We no longer use Eco Mode since it limits how much water the bidet sprays.

    If you want to turn off the LED light, do not press and hold the red button on the side of the seat, it will turn off all of your settings. Press and and hold the plus button on the remote for three seconds and the LED light will turn off leaving all of your settings in tact. By the way, great review. Hello, and thank you for making this good informational video. I just wanted to mention that it seems that you have the hose going between the tank and the bidet reversed. The instructions, section 2.6 show that the plastic side should be at the bidet end and the metal nut should be at the bottom of the tank on the T connection.

    Hi Seth, thanks for watching our video. We eventually let a professional plumber do the installation after we attempted ourselves. According the the instructions we were given that’s the correct setup for the hose. Not sure if things have changed since. But the plumber also installed it the same way we did on all 3 of our bidets.

    Does this seat have a sensor so that the remote won’t trigger spray if nobody is sitting on the toilet? I have a smart bidet that has this feature and want to make sure kids can’t have water wars with this thing.

  • @GemelleChannel

    @GemelleChannel

    4 жыл бұрын

    That’s a really good question. I want to say “yes” because if the kids scoot around too much the nozzle auto retracts. But I don’t think the retraction is fast enough to stop water from spraying out onto the floor. Also there are times the sensor fails and it keeps going. It’s definitely a hit & miss feature.

    Just purchased this from Costco on sale ($100.00 off). My question without being gross, is how dirty does this get? Does the stream spread anything around (or splash)? Thank you, I've wanted to get one of these for a long time, I was just afraid of the hygiene or cleanliness of the product.

  • @GemelleChannel

    @GemelleChannel

    Good question, I do clean the nozzle (which happens to be metal instead of plastic) with disinfectants every couple of weeks. The cleaniness is always a factor for consideration for bidets. According to other KZreadrs, it's a good idea to wipe with TP first if you think you have extra "gross stuff" that could spread once the water starts streaming. That's what I tell my kids. If they have tummy issues, PLEASE use toilet paper first to wipe off as much as possible before they spray. The bidet doesn't STOP the use of TP at our house, but it does CUT down it' use to 25%. One bag of TP from Costco can now last over 6 months instead of 3 months. That's factoring in 3 girls and now we're home 24/7.

    So basically, don't be too concerned with the drying aspect of a bidet? What user settings does it hold? Is it a one-button clean when the settings are saved or does it require the Back, Massage and Fan? After writing/reading that, talk about whiny....what...are you going to sprain a finger? @@GemelleChannel , I see multiple reasons to own a bidet: 1) Hygiene: Self explanatory 2) Psychological: Some people just feel better, knowing that others are not avoiding them because they "stink", 3) Convenience: faster than hopping in the shower again when you're late for work and had an unsuspected "messy" one, or two..., 4) Hemroids: Yes, some people actually do have them, and TP can irritate the pain, 5) Redundancy: What's wrong with having more than one method to wipe? If the water and/or electricity goes out, you can always use TP, if you can get it. The risk of running out of either is always present, so why not have both for redundancy?

    @@MrRickonia Agree with your reasons. I also notice that through our travels that most of Hawaii, Qatar, Japan, and Maldives all use bidets. I was also told that bidets are standard in Europe as well. It seems to be a popular choice. All those places still offer TP but bidet is standard as well. It certainly does cut down on the amount of TP used. Perhaps an environmental factor as well??
