I personally know this Man, and he is one of the most humble Man in this industry.

"1-900-Hustler" is what started the Roc-A-Fella sound during their reign. Before that, it was a lot darker & harder type beats on the albums besides the singles by Swizz Beatz & Timbaland.

Anybody that JDilla props, shouldn't be slept on.

Raymon Draymond megahurtz produced One for Peedi Crakk and DJ Clue made a couple nice beats.. Young Guru one of the best engineers the Roc was the shit for a while

I don’t think jake one sounds like anybody his style is unique the way he chops and layers the elements of his beats their so simplistic but his chops are what make his beats special bink brings a lot of soul which is why just blaze kinda replicated the drums

i dont hear the jake one part either. I think jake got his own separate style within the sample driven beats, He uses a lot of piano and gospel stuff and uses that as the harmony. Just is a different story he copy and pasted his style, you gotta take what he says with a grain of salt sometimes cause he also says JUSTICE LEAGUE is tryna sound like him too

wrong. Youre the only one running around accusing everybody that uses a kick drum and a sample chop of biting you. Jake one sounds nothing like you, stop trying to take credit for stuff that has nothing to do with you. This is what Rsonal was talkin about.

Yes and no. A publishing deal is supposed to help writers get placement on albums and of course the publishing copy will pay you a percentage, after the song has recouped while they keep the rights. Also, if you as the writer cut a reference track for an artist, it comes out of your budget. Basically a publishing deal is only necessary if you have no way of shopping your songs. It's better to create your own publishing company, and it's easier than you think, but you need to get it from the mud and network with people, but at least you own your publishing. Hope that helped.

and remember when prodcuing you only own 50% of a song, so a 10 song deal till be at least 20-30 songs that must be placed by a major. I would only do a pub deal if i new i can recoup it quick enough, like Bink said
