Thanks for reacting! Tho i get why you would find 4 mins songs tiring😭 most kpop songs are now under 3 mins lol and usually made for tiktok. But the difference is that, ppop and filipino songs in general are made for casual listeners and bini’s songs are long bec they need to cater and let all the members vocals shine.

Their I Feel Good album is also good, i think it is the start of them finally figuring their sound

Pantropiko is actually their breakout song for them to be known for Filipino GP. The dance became popular on TikTok. It's their first song to enter Top 200 on daily Spotify PH, gaining 300k+ per day and most streamed song. Personally, I didn't enjoy Pantropiko that much either- but the dance is good.

​@@Notjustkpop they made a lot of effort into making their lyrics (karera) so make sure to read the captions too. some of these are motivational songs like Karera, Na na nandito lang ako and Diyan ka lang (could be).

Thanks for taking the time to react to their EP! I think your constructive critism is very valid especially from a musical point of view, but I would say coming from fans of Bini or fans in general don't mind long songs lol but I completely get where you're coming from 👍🏽 With Pantropiko, fair that it's not their most dynamic song but ironically is the one that propelled them to recent wider recognition. The choreo went viral and their number of listeners skyrocketed. Karera is also top for me :)

Another thing to add regarding long songs: You gotta understand the target audience for this. Filipinos in general LOVE to sing. We WANT more vocals, we want to hear more riffs and ad libs, and we're used to listening to long songs. We want that extra opportunity to show off our vocal range or our belting lol. If a song we sing on karaoke is too short, we basically lose out on time to stay on the mic. I guess it's different with KPop, but I think the cultural context behind it is important...

@@migs-eh 100% agree. As a Blink too, what I would do for longer songs from Blackpink lol. I love that Bini's songs are hella long compared to Kpop. It's different and satisfying as well. You can have quantity and quality at the same time and I think Bini is proving that 👌🏽

@@Megsfromthe6ix PPop in general is comfortable delivering long songs. Lol some of SB19's ballads are like 6 minutes! Also important to note that BINI are all talented singers and so part distribution is really important for them so that they each are able to showcase their vocals. That's one big difference with KPop and PPop - even our rappers and dancers can and will sing, so if you've got 8 members in a group, you better believe they'll all step up to the mic. Walang tapon...

@@migs-eh and how many groups out there can harmonize/riff like Bini? They layers they can produce. They have to go off because you're right, it would just be a waste of talent.

I like your technical inputs about the songs but I have to disagree about the of Na Na Nandito Lang's length and the song's end, when it comes to BINI I always love that the composers let them pop off with their vocals at the end haha

I have a love and hate for 'Diyan ka lang' because the 'uh oh', I was kinda irritated because of it lol and the rap part in whole album is meh for me. I think they should work on the rap part if they still implement it on the future Tracks.

I get it why you don't like 4mins song because of Kpop that nowadays is 2-3 mins long but ironically kpop used to be known for longer songs before, like 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen, like for example TWICE is going for 2-3mins song('With You-th' album) unlike before that they used to have longer-ish b-sides.
