This is the third Bingo documentary I've watched in the past two days, it's fascinating and I don't really know why. I think it's the people playing it that's so fascinating.

I was 16yo when my parents told me my Aunt Duffy (whom I had never met) was coming to stay the weekend with us. My thoughts...."yeah, so?". On Friday night I told my mom that a friend and I wanted to go see a movie and she said I had to ask my dad. I never asked my dad about those things because he preferred (and so did I) that we not be in the house at the same time any more than possible. So I go ask my dad who says "Nope! Someone has to take Duffy to play bingo". Blink, blink! No way in hell does a 16yo boy want to go to bingo with his weird Aunt on a Friday night. In order to continue breathing.... I took Aunt Duffy to bingo....and I won $300! One and only time I've ever been.

They just use that as one of their many other BS justifications for playing. It's called deflection. They will tell you any other justification they can before ever telling you it's because they are addicted to the gambling aspect of it. Like any gambler, they have spent so much money that they desperately need a big win and so that justifies even further spending to them because they are already so deep in to it. Then, when they don't win, "Ahh, it's all about the social aspect, something to do, blah blah blah, in order to pacify themselves until the next round of losses.

Watching addicts try and justify why they play is hilarious and sad at the same time. Even worse seeing those who know they have a problem and wont stop playing it. Just like the one woman saying she had a problem doing it but doesnt have anything else to do so she plays. Seriosuly if you know its starting to have a problem with playing to much then stop and go find a better and healthier hobby to do that doesnt cost that much money. I get its addictive and takes time to break a habit. But not getting help or not stopping doesnt resolve the issue

People have a right to zone out and chill with their buds however they please but sheez these people could go for a movie or dinner and drinks with their BINGO buds a couple nights a week instead of blowing it on BINGO. In gambling the house always wins. Spend your money on yourself !

The only thing I heard that I agreed with was it helping keep an elderly person brain active, unfortunately they have to gamble/give there money away.

Read a book; put together a jigsaw puzzle; play word games; play math games; socialize in a smoke-free place; learn another language; play a musical instrument; chat with another; take a walk = all activities that keep the brain healthy and young v playing bingo.

20:51 People on welfare love to play Bingo... (let that sink in). Somebody had to work for the money they are gambling. One man works - gives 30% of his check to the government. Then government gives his money to someone who is lazy so they can gamble. And YES they are lazy. If they can get up, get dressed, drive to a bingo hall, sit there for HOURS - they can work!
