Love your style! It reminds me of an inspirational calendar I had back in the 70's. Kinda hippie mod, to me anyway.

Excellent technique for single page art work. Look forward to following for my 2019 Lifebook. Thank you
That's such a great way of binding together pages. I'm going to use it to mount and store all my memorabilia that I keep each year as I can store longer pages and any size I like compared to the usual journal size with A4 folded pages. Thank you. I also love the pages you made.

Wow, thank you!
Absofuckinglutely incredible! I wouldn't even know how to start one of those pages!!!! The book construction I could do in a heartbeat... But those pages... 😱😱😱 You should sell prints of your pages, framed prints! They are insanely beautiful! I'd have a beautifully made book with all blank pages! I'd literally be staring at the paper and not know how to even pluck up the courage to go for it! I'd feel defeated before I started to add colour cos I know mine could never look like those.... 😒😒😒

Thanks TamiElizabeth. The reason I like working on loose pages then making them into a book is so it doesn't matter if it looks bad because I can just throw it away. It removes all the fear of messing up so I would encourage you to do the same. Then one day you will have the courage to start in a pre-made book.
Your book is wonderful .

Beautifull!-Thank you!!!🙂❤
I love that fabric. You said you made the fabric. Did you paint it or dye it?
@Artygirl2010
6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Judi. It is a dyed batik. I used Procion dyes and a metal flower stamp to make it. I imagine you could do something similar with paint if you wanted to.
This is great and just what I’m looking for to make a book for a friend! What kind of glue did you use to glue all of the pages together?
@Artygirl2010
2 жыл бұрын
Sorry I didn't see your comment earlier. I used a strong quick drying white glue from Scotch but you could use any type of glue.
Lovely book and techniques. What size is the book please?
@Artygirl2010
5 жыл бұрын
I used 8 x8 inch (20 x 20cm) scrapbook papers for my book but you can make it any size. My larger ones are A4 or letter size.
Could you use burlap as the fabric backing?
@Artygirl2010
2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can if you want. It is hidden so it doesn't matter too much what fabric it is.
I hope I can use your method to my books/journals for selling. Let me know, I can't find any information. Is Creative Commons Attribution License similar to a patent? Thanks for showing us how you do your binding! Deeply appreciated.

Creative commons doesn't really apply here except on the video itself which cannot be shared. I am happy for you to use this technique for your own purposes, even on books you create and want to sell. Thanks for asking.
