A little backstory related to this song which she shared during a live concert: 2015 December she had holidays. She was waiting tables in some restaurant in New York. There she had a colleague (a guy) who happened to be Nepali as well. They were doing 12 hrs - 14 hrs shift. That guy was barely 19 years old and she was 24 years old then. She had a sense of being a very old lady by the age of 24 as most people do, but later realized in mid 20’s no one is really old enough, theres much more to learn & experience in life. The guy mentioned earlier, had a big crush on her, and decided he is in love with Bartika . She was going through a phase where she thought she had no emotions like everyone around her. That 19 year old guy was so ready to accept it. She was thrown back. He never missed a chance to compliment her with cheesy things like - “Your eyes are so pretty” and all that. Najeek was written by her based on that moment of her life. After that incident, she came to the realization, how people as they grow old, filters out emotions, defense mechanisms grow wierd. She learned this thing from that guy and he doesn’t know it.

I am unable to listen to this song anymore. This IS my favourite song. But everytime i come across this songs in tiktok videos or liked videos, she comes in my mind and things start to get tensed up. But in nights when I can't sleep, i put my earphones on and listen to this in repeat. Things are gonna get hard either way in that sleepless night. So i think, why not just enjoy my fav song, it's gonna hurt but in a melody. There's a mesmerising sweetness in pain too, when it's about thinking her and things that relate her. They say everything goes by with time, but i feel that time is paused for me. I'm still right there with her, even now. She's in my presence, without her.

This was our song. I always listen it and tear up. I remember him every single sec and miss him , want to talk with him. Things are way to worsen and I'm so damnn hurt that I dont want to beg anymore to him at this point. He has completely gave up on us and went off after destroying me. It's been so long going through this trauma and fighting with myself. The void feeling, it haunts me down every night and every morning I wake up being motivated, seeking towards being strong against all these odds but I end up thinking about her all again ...... Nevertheless, I hope you're doing fine and well. Just find yourself and love yourself first before finding someone else to love.

Dont know what to do.. When u r in pain.only I can feel is burning inside a lot ..and I want to face it but I cant...my feelings is over me.....only a small response from her can.. Make it disappear.. But I dont know she will ever talk to me or not...its soo hard...🥺
