I am very proud to be from Belau. She represents all the weman of palau 🇵🇼 simply congratulations to Bilung 🎉 may we all inspire to follow her foot steps. Not a fan of calling her queen, her title is much more.

Thanks for your response! I’ve heard a couple people comment the same idea of not being a fan of calling her queen because of the significance of the title of Bilung. Help me understand, how do you define the title, what is the meaning to you?

​@ngoriaklcoreyjohnson Well, personally it dont feel the same calling her Queen instead of "Bilung", I haven't been back home since I was a young girl. So I will ponder on that question.

Palau doesn't have queen.

If it is Bilung you're referring to, she was talking primarily about her experience in being a student and having to leave to assume the duties of Queen of Palau, and then some of the things she has done through the years leading her back to this point of receiving the honorary doctorate.
