California squat lol SoCal native. I thought they did that in Texas. I just installed the Bilstein extended shocks yesterday also on a 2x4 Ram 1500. Its a 2016 with 60k miles the driver's side was leaking. Its had mostly freeway deriving. I had problems with the boots also they don't leave much room.

I came for the shock, I stayed for the personality 🤣

When I change tires I use a home depot "Homer" bucket to sit on and then I can use my feet to keep the tire elevated a bit while I snuggy up the Luggies...

I have a 1” level spacer on the coil springs. These shocks are 1.5” longer than stock so you dont have to run the shock extenders. Still running stock upper control arms. Think that issue is when you go to a 1.5” - 2” spacer.

I’m sending it with a 2.5 spacer, stock shocks (no extender), and stock upper control arms. 15k+ miles with no problems yet, but I’m planning on installing 5100 bilsteins to eliminate some noise from the stock shocks.

STS Performance theyre the 8” roadshocks from harbor freight. Im happy with them. Youll have to make your own brackets though to get them inside the bumper how i have them.

Was about to purchase all 4 of the Bluetooth shocks for my 16 Ram 2wd lol but saw this video. Would you recommend the Bilstein 5100 over the 4600?

Absolutely. I have zero complaints with the 5100s. Ive got probably 40-50k miles on this set without issue.

We’re did you find the 1 coil spacer i can’t seem to find one all I find is 2inch spacers I had a 2 inch on my 17 ram and I had to take it off because it rode like crap I bought new fox shocks for “leveled rams but I can’t find a 1-1.5 spacer we’re did you find yours?

Id make sure the 5100 series is rated for that much lift. IIRC they are only rated to 1.5”. Otherwise find a shock that is long enough to have the correct amount of travel so you dont “top out” the shocks.

Hey buddy do you need the spacer to put this shock on? Bilstein website doesn’t give any references for 2wd except that yellow crap.

No the 5100 series is longer than stock so you don’t need to run the shock extenders if you have a coil spacer

I added a 2" leveling spacer on my 2014 2WD Ram 1500 and have had a terrible ride ever since. The shocks just don't seem to have enough travel on them when going over speed bumps or larger holes. Did you have the same problem before, and did these 5100s seem to fix that issue?

Yes i should have put 5100s on when i leveled the truck in the beginning. They fixed all the problems i was having.
