I gotta ask, does anyone know if more of these demo-songs are around somewhere? I feel like I had almost the full album on my old hard drive when it came out, or am I wrong? These demo-songs were so much better

@@hmberg89 same story man, judging by your username we're the same age (88) and the demo versions are the sound of my childhood. I think your best bet is just rip KZread versions, that's what I did for this, the ex, river below, couple others

I like this version, it sounds more punk and honestly more real. Not to mention, the little "huh huhhuh" in the background is a nice touch :).

It was the better version, all these demo versions were. The first album they made was horribly overproduced and sounded so bad in comparison to these I had burned on a cd before their first album came out.

I like it because I can hear Ian's harmonies much more clearly, in the studio they made the harmony very tight so it's less noticeable

Yeah this song just punched my gut so hard I flew all the way back to 2005, and I want to cry in a corner forever now.

I've lost count of how many times in a row I've listened to this song.

Ayyyyyy we still out here in almost 2022. This is the version I heard on the CD my buddy Dan gave me. Found out well over a decade later they were the demo versions but that only made it cooler.

yeah man back in MSN messenger days we used to trade tracks and youd always get some rare demos somewhere, great stuff ^^

I remember waiting like an hour for this song to download off limewire back in like 06-07. Good times.

This song… i heard it when i was almost 10 at a friend’s house and remember going home to download it on limewire. I found the album version and “demo” but it wasn’t this demo. Almost 20 years later and I always thought I misheard it and the Demo was what i heard all those years ago. I feel whole af hearing this version that i heard once and never forgot. Thanks for uploading this!

ahh i remember listening to this version back in grade 2(grade 10 now). could always remember it from the lovely high-ish back vocals but couldnt find it for years :( this one is defintely better than the one thats played now!!!! :D

Me too! This version was the first Billy Talent song I ever heard, and the reason I fell immediately in love with them. I was so disappointed when the anniversary edition had a different demo :(

I just bought this EP because of beachballs and this. I wonder if the ep also has that awesome version called How It Goes instead of This Is How It Goes

You can hear Ian's voice alot better than you could in the Original version, I'd prefer this one over the Original for that. :)

The album lyric booklet always said "Insane Assault", but I always heard "I'm insane, it's your fault" I realize now, 21 years later, that that lyric is from this demo version, wow

The bridge/breakdown is remarkable, far better than the other one. That hammer on is delightful.

You can feel the Rage Against The Machine spirit. Especially at the beginning
