Billy Sims 1977 & 1978 Eye Test HEISMAN OKLAHOMA

Спорт

PEOPLE.........PAUSE the video at 18 seconds!
Billy is a dead duck....right?
Those two Husker linebackers dont even touch him....lol
NO ONE in history hit the hole or ran at FULL speed
INSIDE THE tackles like Billy did....incredible excelleration
amidst the line of scrimage the likes that have never been since.
His "in the box" speed and explosion are the best of all time.

Charles White should box up the heisman and return it to its rightful owner....a.k.a. Billy Sims. Billy is such a class act that even now he says White had a great year and deserved to win. I asked him that question face to face about 6 mths ago. He is a stand up guy for sure. Billy without a doubt should have 2 heisman trophies, and is the true embodiment of a Sooner. Growing up in Oklahoma in the 1970s we had not one but two of the best rivalries in football, against Nebraska and Texas. The OU-Nebraska game always seemed to have huge impact on the national title since one team or both teams were usually in the running. The 1975 OU-Nebraska game is my all-time favorite of the games I attended.

greatest running back in his prime. a work horse who had no problem carrying 25 times a game, and the ability to break one at any time. i know that fumble still haunts billy, 3:47 left in the game and down 3, they were undefeated and number 1. and despite losing 6 fumbles that day o.u. only lost by 3. those oklahoma vs. texas/nebraska games were events and always nationally televised, and it usually determined the number 1 in those days.
