Do you guys ever wonder if Bach or Mozart ever played a really jazzy chord and was just like “nah” because I think about it a lot

I think they would have to hit a jazzy extended chord sooner or later. Obviously they used seventh chords all the time, at some point they'd wonder what happened if you kept stacking more thirds... 9th 11th 13th...hey what is this!

Yes, i do, i really do
I really really wish there was a video of you doing a full-speed run through from a top view. I would love to see exactly what you're doing with the left hand as well as those intermediate chords. You've got that master's touch on this piece.
Thank you - I've been adapting this for guitar to play with my trio and am culling various sources to get the best version I can come up with. Your tutorial has been most beneficial.
I think my last message got cut off so I'll say it again. You're a real blessing. I can't thank you enough for all that I've learned and continue to learn from you. You are "Da Man"!
Thank you for a great tutorial. For a long time I wanted to play that song. I remember seeing Billy play that song and Gonna go round in circles many years ago on a kids program. Thanx for the video.
This is great, very helpful. I've wanted to play this for a long time. Thanks!
I've loved this song since it came out - can't believe I never tried to figure it out on the piano. Thanks!!!!!!!
Thank you! lol.. this one of them songs i can show off with SMILE
Thanks so much for posting this! Fantastic tutorial and cover!

Best tutorial iv ever seen! just had to watch it one time and i got it! Thank you so much.
Oh, thank you so much for this. I was going to try it myself by ear, but I have never played by ear - all sight reading but high piano level. Been ill and haven’t touched the piano in years ( 68 yrs. old ) I saw Billie Preston play it and thought - how hard can it be? Lol Here we go!!!

Great tutorial.......thank you so much.......walked me right through it.....and a great song
Ok, so I've tried to figure this out for over 40 years and hit a wall. It's great to see you nailed it. Thanks for ending the frustration.
Dude, this is gold. Thank you so much
Thank you my friend! This is very helpful. You have mad chops by the way, congrats!
glad you used it!!! the sheet music is a pain to draw up, so Im glad that someone is using it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Great lesson! you're awesome!

Great tutorial, thanks!
40 years! Glad it finally worked out!
Thanks a lot ! Great tuto ;)
A lot of secondary dominants. I love it.
well done congratulations my friend
Thanks Naeki, awesome
Nice job !
Will do. :D I just picked up a Yammy MOX8 three weeks ago for around $900, which is replacing a 25yr old Kurzweil K250. The SV-1 is a great keyboard, which you deserve. Congrats! :)
Still love this tutorial!!!
Thanks for the lesson
Awesome! glad it was helpful!!
AMAZING
I was looking for the solo - do have that on a tutorial, this stuff I picked up pretty quickly off the recording but the solo is didn't come as quickly.
That was great!
PS, there is something beyond just the notes and that's your crisp style. How did you get so crisp? Do you do scales or any other type of finger training? Sounds GREAT!
You rock dude!
NICE JOB
Thank you! Glad you like
amaze balls - played classical piano for too many years and still can't figure this shit out on my own
Awesome tutorial! Could you also make a video on the "solo" piano part in the middle of the song ( starts at about 1:30 in the original song ) thanks.
Well done.
very cool. Thank you.
Hey thanks! What kind of keyboard ya got there? Is it midi only? I need to get one soon... a 61 and I love white equipment. That looks really cool. Does it play OK? This will be my first KB. Thanks again.
Hi! Great tutorial thank you. I would love to get those 4 missing chords that sound so groovy between verse and chorus.... ! any one got them??
CooooL !! JP from France
thanks a lot man!
Thank you! and I appreciate the request- but I dont think that there is enough demand for a tutorial on the solo for that song. If you want to commission it, because you want to learn it, check my prices in my channel description!
Thank you!!
excellent
very good!
good stuff, ......you're bad man on those keys
thank you!!
thank very much
no prob breh glad you dig
thank you sir
@xFL1PPYx cool glad you found it useful!
@Winvideos8 no problem man
@jimbolightningy In the end I just play Bb 7 with an added 6 (Bb and Ab in the left hand, with D, G, and Bb in the right hand), and move all of that up a half step, and then move it up a half step again to C7 add 6, The last fill I do is G Ab A then trill on C. does that help?
ok, thanks for the info! :D
Nice! Have fun with it :)
thank you so much, i picked this song up by ear a long time ago but youve helped me get it better. however at i dont agree with the change over at 5:50, that sounds jazzy with the added 9 and i dont hear that in the song. how did you get that?
@jimbolightningy Sorry about the crappy sheet music. It's meant to be more of a guide than an exact copy of what I played. I use logic to take MIDI and turn it into a score because I dont have a scoring program like sibelius, and it would just take too much time to score up my tutorials anyway. What did you find was missing from the video (that you needed the sheet music for?)
Watching this puts a smile on my face! I have a bass cover up on my channel.
you got it bud
you got it
gotchya back
no prob man!
hey great tutorial...got a question....right after the 4 bar into, before you go into the melody part of it. there's a little transition u play that you dont demonstrate in the tutorial. Im obiously trying to learn the song like you play it, and transition is really nice, but I cant seem to figure it out and it's not in the tutorial..anyway u can put an addendum to your video and put it in.
Dear Nate Thank you very much for this great video and I do believe I have got it (after much practice). One little thing: at 16 secs into the video after you have played the chorus there are three chords leading into the first verse which you don't mention later. They are great lead-in chords - could you tell me what they are? I was unable to find the link to you version of the sheet music. Thanks! Kingsley

your product sadly dosen´t exist ;(
Wow
@gothsmog thank ye sir
Sounds amazing man.. Love those turn around chord voicings. Thank you for doing this. The only thing that bugs me is that B7 in the verse. the melody goes.. E nothing from D nothing E leaves C A Nothing. So wouldn't the chords be either a E7/b or Bm7 or even a B7#9? when I sing it with b7 it makes me sing Eb which doesn't sound right to me. any thoughts?
hope it helps
Yeah the dude was crazy on the keys
HI! Where can I find the notes of this song?
:) thanks!
You skipped the transition between the riff and the chord pumps. What is that transition chord you used?

still no answer, eh?
that's about as good as you're gonna see folks
transcription aint nuthin eazy thanks for watchin!
👍👍
It's fixed now :)
no problem! You could play it just D- to a G7. I like the added 9 so I play it, but he doesnt play it :)
thanks.... from a bass player i got it
This all fine and dandy… but can you play the solo!?
sauber!
Wow you got a MOX8 for 900?? What a steal!!
Just checked my self. Yeah I do believe that it is B7 in the verse haha. hope it helps.
What key?
I know this video is old but can anybody tell what those four chords are that he plays 15 seconds in? He does it to transition from the chorus to the verse but doesn't go over it in the tutorial

In the RH, it's Eb & Dm triads played twice over a walkup in the LH that starts at C.
@dciccantelli

I gave it a second listen...the LH may not be a walkup. Might just be C/D/C/D played twice. Can't quite tell on my phone...
you missed the transition notes before the lyrics kick in.
Glad you dig! I have an Outa Space tutorial on my channel - check the funk section of my channel page :)
haha thanks! I got rid of this piece of shnarf keyboard a long time ago! check out my new vids- playing the sweet sweet Korg SV-1.

I wish you went slower, but I can just turn a knob and make it slower so idk why I’m complaining. I’m a beginner anyway
