It's funny how true it is about Anthrax and Scott and Charlie in particular. I grew up loving Anthrax and S.O.D. and got to see S.O.D. in '99 in Portland, OR. The show was awesome, and afterwards we got to meet the band. Billy and Danny just jumped off the stage in their sweaty stage clothes and shook hands and signed autographs and took pictures and cracked jokes and laughed with every single person there for like half an hour or longer, but Scott and Charlie went backstage and changed into their preppy puffy city slicker coats and then reluctantly came back out and signed a handful of autographs in the corner for like 10 minutes and were just so cold and stuck up like a couple of snobs, with looks of visible disgust on their faces. Remember when they were on that episode of Married...With Children and they acted stuck up and rude? It wasn't much of an act, unfortunately. They acted just like that but with wayyyy less interaction and dialogue. That was my first time meeting one of my heroes and it went from THIS IS AWESOME to WTF?! in a matter of 15-20 seconds. It was really disappointing and I lost a ton of respect for them. That being said, Anthrax will always be one of my favorite bands (up til Sound Of White Noise) and there will always be a soft spot in my heart for them, but they have really turned into a bit of a joke band with how they conduct themselves and showed their true colors at seemingly every chance, from firing Joey at the peak of their popularity to try and cash in on the darker Seattle sound with John Bush and then completely changing their style throughout the 90s and wearing hipster fedoras and all that shit. And then when they realized they shot themselves in the foot they try to stay relevant by hitching rides on Pantera's and the Big 4's coattails and any other bands limelight they can somehow photobomb. Oh boy, and remember to thank the lort for 9/11 and the anthrax attacks to get them a little bit of publicity in 2001, as well! Scott Ian is everywhere, from VH1 to Comedy central to literally any other band's documentary, and even their own VH1 Behind the Music special was lame. Half of it had literally nothing to do with them, but they somehow worked Cliff Burton and Dimebag dying into their own tragic story? C,mon. I'm glad the brought Joey back, and the last 2 albums are pretty good, definitely more like the 80s style, but it's just not the same now, especially knowing what twats those 2 are.

As the world becomes more divided and dangerous sometimes all you can do is take a deep breath and forgive and forget before the unkindness consumes you. I mean Milano talks about The Exploited but if you listen to "Get In The Van" Rollins doesn't think too highly of them at all. I'm a stagehand and I've heard some backstage stories about Maynard. Pantera acted like douchebags to one another yet everyone still loves them. As a local crew stagehand working on all sorts of international tours for over 14 years and was messing around in bands before that I can tell you the entertainment industry is all a bit two faced and smoke and mirrors. How does the Dead Kennedys song go, "Where do you draw the line?"

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw it like this... those two are DOUCHBAGS! and even now Charlie is cashing in on some PANTERA money. Telling all the webzines he has new material for a PANTERA album. FUCK THAT! No one wants that. If there's a buck to be made those two J_ _ fucks will find it.

Anthrax has a special place in my heart, as well as SOD. I love Anthrax to death. Joey, Dan Spitz, and Frankie are my favorites. After I learned more about Scott and Charlie, I don't have the same appreciation I have for them like I have for the other three anymore. These two dudes are really problematic, IMO.

Wow... That sucks... I met Charlie last year and he was cool as hell... Maybe they have changed? Don't know. Never met Scott. I did meet Dime and Vinny and they were the coolest MF's till this day I've ever met..

And in 85’ I was a skinny 13 year old who only heard kiss, priest and Motley Crue until I moved down to the jersey shore in that same year. Suddenly I was introduced to hardcore, punk and ofcourse SOD. I couldn’t believe that album. I couldn’t imagine how heavy they were live given how crushing t was on a cassette!

This guys a UNIQUE legend in the extreme music genre and it’s his upbringing in the nyhc scene thAt gives him that uniqueness. Someone make a documentary movie about this guys life before he dies not after!! He would probably enjoy seeing the movie anyhow. He deserves it. I hope he gets his health issues under control

Billy is right. Coming up through the hardcore scene gives you that connection with the fans. Metal heads are too busy worrying about how they look.

It's too bad that S.O.D. can't happen, but I'm on team Milano. "U.S.A. for M.O.D." is just as classic as "Speak English or Die" IMO, anyway. I wonder if Billy seen this version of the song "Speak English" that the other 3 did with Mike Patton online, changing the lyrics to "Speak Spanish" (a BS move... only because they are taking away from the original, satirical, intentional offensiveness). The worst part is they actually put Billy's name on the video... WTF?
