One of my favorites. Billy Idol is a great performer. "White Wedding" launched his career. "Dancing with myself" is innuendo. Go choice. This is one of those artist with a whole lot of material to experience.

Billy said he was in a disco in Japan. Everyone was dancing alone and looking at themselves in mirrors on the walls. That's the inspiration for this song.

Lo and behold that’s exactly what Billy did. I really have a lot of respect for entertainers who go to such lengths to show their appreciation for their fans.

Billy has SO many great songs! His first two solo albums are almost completely hits with every song. Then he gets into a motorcycle accident, destroys his leg. Didn't stop him at all. LA Woman and so many more followed. Good luck covering his stuff! When you get to Mony, Mony...do the live version, not the studio version

A song from my early days in the Army when my stereo had speakers the size of refrigerators and when MTV actually played music videos. Thanks man, from a time of awesome memories, I know I got the CD some where, gonna go dig it out

I distinctly remember being wiped out tired after a Billy Idol concert back then. I had an aisle seat at the Warner in DC (long before it was renovated and became so expensive. I don’t think anyone in the place sat in their actual seats for the entire evening. Dance Dance Dance! So fun, so exhausting.

When Jamel says "we all do it, dance with ourselves" I'm like uh that's a good way to get demonetized. Being this is Billy's ode to flicking the bean.

Billy Idol’s guitarist and songwriting collaborator Steve Stevens was a big deal in the rock music world. He won a Grammy (Top Gun); worked with Michael Jackson, Vince Neil, Robert Palmer, Terry Bozzio, Tony Levin, and others. My all-time favorite Steve Stevens track is the song "Pistolero" by Juno Reactor (Bombay Dub Orchestra Remix).

Billy Idol introduced a whole new audience to punk rock. I always felt like this video was a kinda mad max type thing. I remember seeing this on friday night videos, before I knew anything about MTV.

This song was his first big Pop hit. Billy said this was his attempt to make a combination of Disco and Punk. He was innovative. Later on there were some Hardcore bands that mixed Funk in their sound. Then decades later there was also some Dance Punk but it never really took off as a genre. Im not a big fan of dance music but what I like is the energetic sound it adds to rock music.

You had to be in one of the big “new wave” dance clubs in NY back in the early 80’s. This song would come on...the place would erupt and everyone went nuts. It was a fun time to be young..
