It's fascinating that Billy Gunn is in such a tremendous physique at the age of 58. His performance was damn good and he looked freakin' strong in the entire match, especially kicking out of the Coffin Drop at 1 count. Darby Allin seems like he's never had a bad match, that's remarkable.

@@allforgreatness9883 Not really. It is logical to think that someone of a size like Gunn kicked out of the Coffin Drop from a 170 lbs Allin. We can expect that to happen, of course. Sometimes, people tend to overthink. It's just fair enough. Look at Gunn. He's massive. And Allin gave a good match as always, eating so many dangerous bumps again.

I legit can't believe Gunn is almost 60, the man is built like a tank.

Billy was always one of my favourites as a kid growing up during the attitude era. I never would've guessed that he would look almost exactly the same and that I would still be watching him wrestle over twenty years later.

I have never seen wrestler at this age with such kind of dominance. Both sting and Billy is real real legends

Darby has gone from being a guy that gets elevated by wrestling Cody and Mox to being the guy that's chosen to help Austin and Colten to get elevated. That's very cool imo. It's not a demotion for Darby to feud with Gunn Club, it's an ascension for Gunn Club to feud with Darby.

He's probably having the time of his life since being trapped in a micromanaging concentration camp for so many years and now he can finally do whatever he wants. He's a living legend in a brand new fresh company with a positive atmosphere so I say let him enjoy his life because we know that his career may come to an end anytime now and it's better that he enjoys what he's doing more than working to please everyone. He's earned it with decades of hard work on the business and for the fans. He doesn't need to prove anything to anyone anymore, he has reinvented himself many times, he's been ahead of others and walked the forbidden doors showing the way for many generations to come. He doesn't need to do anything for anyone, he can do whatever he wants to do and no keyboard warrior can do anything about it.

Goddamn... I'll just repeat what's been said ad nauseam because it's just so insane: Billy Gunn looks like he just stepped off a time machine from 1998! And it's not just cosmetic, he is wrestling just as well as he did back then and if anything looks smoother. He has trained people for years so it's natural that the repetition of the fundamentals he's teaching resonated within him.

When you realize how good Billy Gunn actually is and in any other era he'd probably be a World Champion. In AEW the way he moves and plays to the crowd shows he's leagues above a lot of guys. As a kid of the 90s, I totally marked for this! The interaction between the two was so tastefully performed. We will finally see what the universe was too myopic to book properly. Hopefully AEW produces something worthy. Beyond that, this was one of the most convincing, and possibly one of the best, squash matches I've ever seen!

All those training sessions with Mike O’Hearn have paid off tremendously for Billy Gun. Best shape of his life!

Mr Ass is impressive, not just for his age, he's more fit than half the roster. Then Sting still around while being almost a decade older, true icons in the ring!

All credit to Gunn for putting on one hell of a good performance The guy is now finally getting some proper kudos and chops after all these years, and he's earned it. Looks like we might have some generational future too, good to see.

Reading all the kick out coffin drop is hilarious. You can tell the ending was meant for Gunn to take Two of the coffin drops that’s why Gunn pushed him off before he can even get the count.

Billy Gunn should be AEW World Heavyweight Champion. Kenny is out, but you have another world champion sitting right there, and you should capitalize on him. Nobody in the history of this industry can match Gunn's dedication to his talent, and work ethic. Billy Gunn deserves a run as world champion, if not for the fact that he was buried by Rock not wanting to elevate Billy. Making Gunn job to that toothpick Smarmy Darby was totally unnecessary. It just made Gunn look bad, and those koffing drops were totally unbelievable and silly when you take into consideration the size difference. I respect the angst Darby brings to his game, but not against Billy Gunn.

Billy looked totally amazing in that match. Was just tossing him around the whole time it was great. I hate that so many people kick out of the coffin drop though

Chris should definitely be doing commentary more than in the ring. He's just nails it.

Its amazing how smoothly they create an angle between Gunn and Sting, that match might never even happen but if it does half of the story is already told. This storytelling seems so simple I wonder why we had to wait for so long for a promition to guve us this kind of storytelling...

@br0k3nzaizai and again its pro wrestling. Would you be down and out for a 3 count after a drop to your back? Been there done that and thats not whats happening. So any powerbomb would not qualify for a finish but its a FINISHING MOVE. The fact that its called like that should tell you that it aint about realism

jeeeezis Billy Gunn looks better than ever!!! That is a man who has eaten alot of beef right there. I dont know why he doesnt feature in more matches for AEW, He is top top talent and if anyone is like me which im sure there are many, we love Billy Gunn and want to see more from this absolute Legend.

This is a great match to see a Bad ass from the past competiting against a current wrestler who is the future.Billy Gunn is a phenomenal wrestler especially at his age that performs really well. Great to see Darby put over like that.

Gunn wasn't even considered a big man in his heyday... damn these modern wrestlers are small

Seeing the "suck it" in AEW made my day!

People talk about Dustin but look at Billy. The man is a specimen. And with his win record, why was #10 and Cassidy pushed ahead of him in the tournament? I just wish the Gunns were a little more cerebral. Like why did one of his kids yell out an "American pie" line to Darby? It made no sense lol They got the brawn down, now its time to work on the brains.

The vaaaaaast majority of Billy Gunn's wins come in tag matches in which his sons got the pinfall. So they would probably say that's why he's not in singles title contention.

@@Oxios yeah, he's been helping his son's improve in the ring. From what I've seen, his sons have some serious potential.

I love Billy Gunn! Dude is still great.

Even to this day Sting is one of the best orchestrator of crowds there is. One of the GOATS for sure

Insane conditioning at his age. He must be mid 50’s. Great to see him still going strong.

If you're not down with Billy Gunn beating on Darby Allinn we've got two words for ya, "IT'S STING!"

@@alexwind7123 TRT is perfectly safe and is administered by a doctor. He could easily get that, pack on some muscle, and not have to wrestle in a t-shirt.
