... And tweeting about how "certain parts of the nation" didn't go out and see the movie in similar #'s as L.A., helps...?!?! Yes, we exist everywhere.. Maybe, we don't have the numbers in rural Oklahoma, why insult an entire demographic because your movie bombed (talking about his Twitter rant)..?!?! . Simultaneously, all i saw in the trailers was over dramatization of Femmy gays, while low-key (and not low-key), celebrating masculine gays (which is totally fine, "...and we WIIIEEEErrrrrrRE...🫢"). But why pat yourself on the back for throwing many in your community under the bus, then saying some small town in N.C. needs to be inclusive to the nuanced, divisive, point you are making..??!! Honest, my first impression, as a gay man, "sit down sir, and shut the fuck up". BTW quite a bit of the blowback, is because many of us don't have the courage to critique the indoctrination of pre-pubescent kids into the transgender lifestyle... We have been completely silent on that bullshit...🤷🏻‍♂️ It's not like they aren't fucking up little gay boys and girls, in order to appear progressive.. ... And we're silent... We've met that ideology completely takeover our spaces, the rest of the nation sees that. Stupid to think there wouldn't be blowback. (I don't care what adults do, chop it, i don't want it... But, what they are doing with kids is central to our image at this moment, like it, or not.)

As a gay man I have zero interest in watching this movie so I guess I’m homophobic also. I don’t know why but most gay movies suck and it’s sad but true. There are exceptions like “Call me by your name” and “Love Simon” but I think why those movies do good is because it appeals to a younger audience. The problem with this movie is not that it’s a gay movie but that it’s an old gay cringey movie. Maybe if the actors were younger and hotter people would have seen it lol. I don’t think people are homophobic, more like ageist, because even younger gays don’t even want to see this.

I thought the same thing. All of my gay friends and I know it's a stereotype but they tend to prefere more high-brow films/more sophisticated. Weird I don't remember this rampant homophobia, when the pro LGBT movie (Love Simon) Came out in 2018. And made over 65M at the box office...🤔

Seriously dude, just take the "L". Having any valid criticism about your film is not phobic. This movie failed at the box office bc the main audience for rom-coms are women. Antagonizing ppl is not going to make them want to give you their money.

You _expressly_ told straight people to NOT go to your movie before it was even released, a movie you made that was aimed at 1% of 1% of the population, at best. A “gay rom com” that appeals to neither men, women, nor gay men. _Then_ you “blamed” those SAME people you alienated (people who weren’t ever going to go, anyway) for not going to see it. “Too smart” is something you’re never going to be accused of, dude.

No hate or anything but I don’t like how we’re being looked down on just because we don’t wanna watch a movie. Like wtf, that’s like starting a riot because someone said the polar express was not a good movie.
