Ya man I love Beane, he's such a humble and level-headed guy. Some people think we might have a Browns like season from last year, but (barring any injuries *knocks on wood) you can see from the mindsets of Beane and McDermott that they won't let our guys get ahead of themselves. They've instilled that mindset into the team. We'll be much improved this year from last

As a Panther fan when I heard he was seeking a Head Coach spot I almost cried cause i knew he would be gone ASAP!! And our defense wouldn't be the same but then there was Steve Wilkes whom also left to be a HC after one year of amazing Defensive Coordinating smh. We were never the same!!

He's easily a top-5 GM in the NFL; it's just that, since Buffalo is a small market team, he doesn't get the press he would if it were in NY, CA, or even someplace like Tampa Bay! But the guy is whip smart (as you saw here), and he doesn't let ANYTHING distract him from his job! The other thing people don't realize about him; *he's a riverboat gambler during the draft!* He had about 2 million draft day trades his first couple of years in Buffalo; THIS draft, he didn't pull one off - but in the previous ones, he was usually at the center of SEVERAL trades! He knows how - and when - to wheel and deal! The fact that he didn't see the need to this year.... tells me he thinks the Bills are getting really close to being a complete team in his vision!

SeatBill they had something on the bills KZread channel last year that showed basically a transparent look at his draft process and it was one of the best things I’ve ever seen. He even had Josh Allen and Matt Barkley on the phone with guys after the draft convincing UDFAs to choose buffalo (David Sills was the guy they were reaching out to if I’m not mistaken)

@@michaelabbey15 I saw that, too. Beane is meticulous, and he always has detailed plans and strategies for how he wants to do things. If he were running the coronavirus task force, I have a feeling we'd all be in much better shape! The UDFAs Buffalo picked up this spring have a couple of guys I wouldn't be surprised to see make it onto the practice squad, at least. Beane and the Bills have their talent-locating eyes EVERYWHERE... and when you become a team that can go deep into the playoffs, and get close to the Big Game, that kind of attention to detail PAYS OFF!

@@assasinshyper3364 If the Bills make it back to the playoffs this season, and they do well... I would suspect that one of McDermott's coordinators will probably get hired as a HC somewhere. Probably DC Leslie Frazier - since he has previous HC experience with the Vikings. If Daboll can jack up the Bills' offense, and get Allen and Diggs to have great seasons - then it might be him getting the call.

I’ve been to a game and it was great... the only problem was I was rooting for the Bengals. I just want to say though that the people in that city are amazing. If you get to go to another game, go to the big tree inn by the stadium. People call the owner duff. Amazing guy. I also heard Jake dolegala grew up right by the stadium, and he is now the 3rd string QB for Cincinnati. Also, he says josh Allen goes to the bar after every home win. I would ask some people there about that

I really promise when I have a much better job one day I will go go a Buffalo Bills game. I would’ve gone during the wild card round but tickets down here in Houston are soo fuckin expensive even the time when Houston faced Buffalo in 2018 I still couldn’t. I really wanna meet Bills mafia one day. I’ve been a BB’s fan since I first started watching football in the end of the 2017 season

Right. Sounds cliche as well but the food is probably some of the best in the whole country. Whenever I leave buffalo I start freaking out and I miss the food. Only places that had good food were Chicago and NYC. I'm sure others do too but I've never quite had food like buffalo food. The food blends and has flavor smacking in every bite.

I drove 18 hours from buffalo to that game and it was an insane atmosphere. Of course there are toxic fans on both sides but it was amazing to see the Jacksonville fans come to our tailgates and experience what happens in orchard park 8 times a season. Honestly if you want a once in a lifetime experience, come to buffalo during one of the nationally televised games and go to the stadium at 10am. The city and fan base is very accepting and brotherly to everyone and you’ll have a great time.

Great interview, my first game was Bills Vs the Jags at Wembley back in 2015, choose to support the Bills, found out we sucked! stuck with them and these past 5 years have been a rollercoaster! Let’s go buffalo!

Here’s what I like the most about Josh, he tries his hardest to appeal to Bills Mafia and Buffalonians in general. He wears Sabres (NHL), Bandits (NLL), and even the revamped Buffalo Braves (old NBA team) stuff. Dude might not be a Lamar or a Brady, and that’s fine. But if you care enough to get gear for the other teams around town and show support for the city, that’s more than you could ask for from team members.

Josh doesn’t need to be a Lamar or a Brady, he just needs to be him Joshua Patrick Allen. He has great potential to be an MVP. He has all the physical talents, prototypical size, athleticism galore, very intelligent, the work ethic, competitive fire and all other intangibles, natural leadership and a very engaging and likable personality. He just needs to further develop (very raw coming out of college as everyone knows) and put it all together. He finally has more or less a compete offense around him. Allen to Diggs is going to be a thing of beauty.

As a Buffalonian, I'm super happy people are finally getting the chance to see the Bills the way I do. 20 plus years of sucking, and finally the past 3 years we're just getting progressively better thanks to McDermot and Beane. Bills starting to get a little attention and I love it. Still have work to do on offense for sure, but were no longer that team that people know nothing about and could care less. Were a small blue collar team with an old stadium but a hell of alot of character. The Bills just mean sooo much to Western NY and Bills mafia. We got dedicated fans and some of the cheapest tickets in the NFL so even working shlubs like me can make it to a game or two. Only NY team by the way.

@@Sheep13ny It really depends. Allen is going into his 3rd year, he has weapons on offense, Beasley, and Brown, and Diggs. He's got Singletary in the backfield for screens and tricks, and he will have a brand new feature back in Moss. We dont even have to discuss that defense, its hands down 2ne or 3rd in the league. Micah Hyde, Tre White, Jordan Poyer, Tremaine Edmunds, and now AJ Epeneza to strengthen both the running and passing prevention. I think you're right about Allen needing to step up, but if he does, this is absolutely a year for the Bills. They could really shake up the league, and I would be able to go to a home playoff game for the first time since the 90s.

@AllDay28 im slightly more optimistic but thats very fair. Our schedule could go either way on a few games to be honest. However, the defense is 100% scary

Beane is a draft master. Just look at last year's two 3rd round picks in Devin Singletary/Dawson Knox. Two steals that had big moments as Rookies, and have a ton of potential to get even better. The difference in cap situation/debt to former players/roster/team chemistry/etc..from 3 years ago to now is basically night and day.

i wouldnt call knox a steal just yet given the absurd amount of drops he had last season. Hes got potential. Needs to secure the ball better this season if he wants to last.

@@immarawwk1201 I don't disagree about the drops at all. However he also had a couple amazing catches (that were much harder then the drops actually). Also, he's a great teammate and really good blocker on the edge. Part of his pass catching problems comes from not having many opportunities in college playing with Metcalf/Brown. He had way too many drops last year considering his targets but he also just a Rookie had many hype plays, great blocking, just needs to clean up the hands.

Love this guy to death, best GM the bills have had since the Jim kelly era. Hopefully the pegulas can find a GM like him for the Sabres

Awesome! Already a subscriber that loves your show but since I'm a western New Yorker and Bills Mafia member, this made my day! As Buffalo fans, we have always had a tremendous amount of respect for the cheese heads, Raider fans and the unfortunate Browns fans for their passion in loving their team. But we stand alone when it comes to loyalty after coming so close four years in a row, then nothing for next 20 year's. Great interview by Pat and great interviewee in Beane. Very personable and wish more GMs would do this. Hearing about how to test and score QBs and inside looks type stuff is what people want to know.

Great interview! The Bills mafia loves this guy . Talking about Pittsburgh, Sunday Night Football up here in Buffalo Vs. Pittsburgh, if they're allowing people back into stadiums, that place will be rockin' , Pittsburgh fans also travel very well, There is a mutual respect with most of the Pittsburgh and Buffalo fans that I know. The links between those two teams are fun for us fans too, you got the brothers Edmunds...you have McDermott and Tomlin who played college football together...two good defenses. If things pan out the way most think, this could be another big big game. Beane has done a fantastic job up here. This year, the fans do want that home playoff game/division title....they're ready for that next jump, and with the GOAT setting sail with those Bucs, its' like the parting of the red sea for Buffalo to just walk up there and snatch that top spot in the AFC East. Bring the crew up to Buffalo for that SNF game vs Pit, it will be a crazy scene (provided this pandemic stuff settles down)....such mutual respect for both Pittsburgh and Buffalo.

As a life long Bills fan from California, I took my dad to a game in Buffalo (where he was born and raised) the year before he passed away. There was nothing better than watching the Bills smash the Dolphins in 20 degree weather with my pops. I'm so grateful for that experience. There is no better fan base than Bills Mafia! I will be a Bills fan for life.

Man as a Bills fan this was such a great interview to watch. Pat is an amazing interviewer. Asks thoughtful questions and truly focuses in on what the interviewee is saying. All of the love he shows the Mafia is amazing too. Great time to be a Bills fan.

Pat, my favorite part about your show is the insight you are able to bring out at the different levels of football from these interviews. I puts fans in a different perspective when watching the game. Great job and keep it up!

this is the brains behind the madness..i recall the press interview after the playoff loss..Brandon Beane was choked up..cause he knew how much it meant to Buffalo and it's fans...watch it..you will get teary eyed watching him too..such a class act and gets little praise..and he will be GM of the Year..should be..

30 year Bills fan here. Saw some incredible games in Orchard Park, especially in the Kelly era. The last playoff game against the Texans brought back a familiar pain though since Kelly retired- the way both McDermott and JA lost their composure when it was all on the line. JA at age 23 still did some amazing things as a 2nd year NFL QB in 2019. I want the Thanksgiving evening Josh to be his new norm, that standard. Enough of heartbreak. Going into 2020, the Bills have no excuses but to have a great year, and maybe even get to the AFC Championship game at KC.

Beane and McDermott are the reason that the Bills aren't a joke anymore. These 2 have been building a culture for the past 3 years with good drafting and smart trades.

Pat McAfee real talk, that was an excellent interview. You really have a way about asking your questions in general but especially the tough questions that make it real conversational and not confrontational. I think you're good at your job. Monday Night Football...

I met Josh Allen once and a military veteran was there too, in uniform. Josh took it upon himself to thank the vet and then started singing his favorite military songs to him and the vet was previously stationed near Laramie or something, and they started talking local watering holes. It was a very personal experience. Wasn’t the biggest Allen fan beforehand, but I gained a lot of respect for him based on that experience. Also met Beane the same day and he was great. A fan told him that he doesn’t feel comfortable about our WR room (this was the ‘18 season), and Beane basically said he’s working on it, and he is grabbing value guys who will get the job done down the road.

What a class dude. Insightful, articulate and a genuine bloke.

Im a die hard Bills fan. And this team becoming a contender has changed my life. I speak for all of Buffalo that our team represents our city. We get mercilessly mocked for losing Super Bowls, and the playoff droughts, and it hurts. We have so much hope every year and then were let down year after year with mediocre teams, never even doing badly enough to get a #1 pick and try to rebuild, the worst we did was like #4 pick and we picked CJ Spiller. I tear up just thinking about what it would mean to me, my family and my home town of Buffalo if we can become a real title contender and win some playoff games again. The City of Buffalo deserves it....

This guy is cool. And I agree, going to Ralph Wilson stadium was an awesome experience. We (the Falcons) played them at Buffalo in 2013 in a game that went into OT. It was my first time taking leave after joining the USAF earlier that year and I was visiting a friend who was stationed at fort drum. The atmosphere was electric, the pregame was awesome, trash talking, their WWF-esque throwing each other through tables thing was awesome. Outside of this one group of people who we weren’t even interacting with flinging a couple of N-bombs out of nowhere and then subsequently getting thrown out, I had a great time, and so far it’s been my 2nd favorite pro football game I’ve been to outside of Atlanta. (#1 being seeing Atlanta being the first team to beat the Packers in a playoff game at Lambeau. We had a rising Vick, Brett Favre was still beasting and I was telling my heart out in a blizzard that i was not ready for)

I'm a die hard Bill's fan and what our GM Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott have done is completely change this franchise and our future looks bright. Let's Go Buffalo and bring the Lombardi Trophy to WNY.
