fully autonomy cars will likely not happen in next 5 years or might not happen at all due to regulation. at best you will have someone sitting on a driver seat while car drives itself

I agree, fully autonomous cars are easily way safer than humans right now, however they are still held to a different standard. 5 years or more is realistic to me

Even if they did happen, regulators would require all kinds of safety features. LIDAR would be a requirement.

@@laz2452 I included LIDAR for my estimation. For full autonomy they have to establish communication networks between cars and build infrastructure for it (based on the reports I read years ago)

You don't get the importance of SpaceX. Your investment in Tesla should be made based on how much you like Elon Musk. And SpaceX does prove he is really smart and cool.

Elon said their Optimus robots will be available for sale within a year. You know... Because Elon always makes good on his product availability ETA's, and everybody who can't already afford the new Apple V.R. headsets is really just saving up for an Optimus... Oh, and we're DEFINITELY going to Mars, and having as many offspring as you possibly can while buying a new Tesla car every year is DEFINITELY the way we're going to save planet Earth! Mmm-hmm...

dylan here- Honestly I didn't even get into the math of how electric batteries can actually be worse for earth lol. Once people realize how batteries of that scale are made, where the metals are mined, and the amount of byproduct thrown away while making said battery... It definitely gets in the weeds.-

Tesla's cash on hand for 2023 was $29.094B, a 31.14% increase from 2022. With next to no debt, right. I wasn't aware they needed "saving". I mean they are basically the only automaker that can build EV's profitably on the planet ATM... and they had the best selling vehicle of any kind on earth in 2023 with Model Y. Could only make it through half of this vid though, maybe you guys had some useful info in the second half 🤷
