I’d watch that for sure. I met Brecker twice, once at Electric Lady Studios in the Village with Randy, once at Sam Ash in White Plains, NY (I’ve seen him live many times), and he was such humble, nice guy. We need that movie. 🎷🍿

@@marike1100 Yes, yes we do! I became friends with Mike in the mid 90s when I created his first websites. I managed them for about five or six years, then launched a new site for him not long before he got sick. As great of a musician as he was, he was an even better person.

Chad-LB, master exponent on tenor saxophone, has once again "exhumed" Organic Jazzicians of yore, wherein he reminds us, by his skillful execution, of their excellence. "Jazzicians" from Coleman Hawkins to Michael Brecker* would have been very proud of him and the homage he has been paying to them, musically, via America's Classicism - Organic (Real) Jazz. *( Of course, Sonny Rollins, too.[ 1930 - ] ) Excelentissimo.

Day-um - Julian and Chad at 1:47! Tenor absolutely locked with the ride cymbal! Chad’s using a different mouthpiece - a bit more hair on the sound and thicker in the high range, maybe?
