I love how Billie created this song, I like the topic she decided to do this song on because there isn’t much songs that talk abt this. And for people who went through the situation Billie is singing abt, I am so sorry you ever had to go through that. Billie creates songs that is most relatable to her fans and to herself and that is what I love because it helps us fans see that we aren’t alone through trauma, depression, anxiety, heartbreak. Every song she creates just makes me love her more. I know some people think she is overrated but she is really not, the people who call her overrated doesn’t get her songs, doesn’t get why so much people love her. Her voice isn’t the only thing that makes us love her. She full on deserves the fame but she doesn’t deserve the hate.

Thank you, I needed to hear this because even though this song is about pedophiles/predators and abusers, parents can be just as bad with their kids. People nowadays still think it's right to raise your kids without allowing them to show emotions, namely boys and men's pain is so overlooked now, that people don't even consider pain and heartbreak a factor for men because they're all "idiots" and "disappointing." Some certainly are, but not ALL of them because you're really underestimating the actually good men out there. Emotional abuse is never okay for your children or really anyone for that matter, pray for the ones who are suffering :(

Even as a girl, I also understand how hard it can be for boys and men to talk freely about their emotions; one of my best friends struggles with this and now hardly ever talks to his parents. Finding someone to talk to these days is pretty hard, but even though we don't know each other, it's clear that the best thing we can all do is persevere until we find an outlet and the right environment. :)

not intending to contradict your comment, however in an interview with annie mac billie stated that she didn't want to make the song about just her experiences specifically. she wanted to leave it open to interpretation so as not to exclude other people's experiences, which honestly makes it both more powerful and also really sad
