Growing up, one of my best friends had severe Tourettes syndrome. He worked very hard to manage it. In his case, he would yelp uncontrollably, or burst out with a swear word. Physically, he would have a strong neck and body twitch. At first, school kids would make fun of him, but after they understood what he was going through, most classmates were tolerant, and often supportive. It really gave me an appreciation for the courage and strength that people with this condition go through. He has since gotten a PhD in Physics and is a professor.

Feeling bad for her isn’t necessarily asked for. Some people, if they were to choose, would keep their Tourette’s. You don’t grow and become your own person if you don’t have your individual struggles. A lot of people couldn’t be themselves, without it. So try not to feel bad. It can get in the way, but it does not hurt her. If anything, it actually helps her individually. Other people with this condition are not as fortunate.

Baby girl I got you ❤❤❤. There's no reason to be ashamed of Tourette's U are beautiful no matter what.! I could have the same and it's very scary thinking you could say what ur thinking out loud.... You lose Ur mind thinking U could get memory loss and more and people would take advantage of you. But as long as you have Ur loved ones near you. You are protected. Always ❤❤❤
There's few things that make me want to cry, this was one.
