Therunningsloth no, you’re pathetic. pop stars can influence so much on a persons life. they’re personality and lyrics, they’re past life, can make someone feel like they matter and that they are truly loved, and that hey aren’t alone and can relate to things that the pop star went thru as well. and seeing someone going thru the same thing u did and coming out on the better side, gives ppl so much hope.

I get her so much. No joke, talking about how much i love my mom often sends me into a panic or anxiety attack. It just gets so overwhelming how much I depend on her, and the idea of losing her. So talking about my love for her brings up all those emotions & fears, which is why i usually change the subject once i feel my throat tighten. I relate to Billie because i sometimes think I'm weird for how close I am to my mother & family in general. It's nice to see other young ppl who put their family over friends & social stuff.

I saw this one comment and it was making fun of all the 13-14 year olds who are “faking depression”. I’m 13 and it’s been a tough couple years. My friend started to do drugs, my sister tried to commit suicide, and I’ve have been dealing with the sad genes. Although I’m young I still have the same emotions that many adults do and I think a lot of people over look that. I’ve finally started to talk about it a little with my parents but I hate saying depressed because it just sounds like I’m seeking attention. That’s all I wanted to say.

Vibe it’s a common thing for people who are depressed to hide it with a smile. A lot of depressed people do that because that don’t know how to express they feelings and emotions which is one of the reason Billie started righting music. A lot of therapists can even tell you writing down your feelings and expressing your self through music or art is very therapeutic. Poems, writing in a diary or journal, and music or ways to express yourself and not keep the emotions bottle up because that is really not healthy and cause cause people to do different things. So to all the people that are depressed, I deeply encourage you to invest in a journal, note book, a dairy and/or art supplies to help express yourselves and when you are ready share it with the people you know will help you. Ps. I used to want to be a psychologist/therapist when I was younger to help people. People in the world still love you.

Because not everybody has families anymore, or if they do, they break up. So many young girls don't want to have babies anymore, but what else is there, after money and travel? And that's why I think the world is messed up, anyway, and people want to die so much more than they used to. Plus everything needs specific qualifications. And the Internet takes away from meeting IRL

@@andread6245 they don't want to have babies anymore because now they have a choice, while in the past they were shunned if they didn't want a family. Talked to my grandmother about that. It was expected to have a baby, even if you were miserable. In my opinion, it's better this way today. We wouldn't have families breaking apart if people who were creating families actually wanted them in the first place, not doing it because society expected it of them. Imagine getting married even if you didn't want to, putting your career, education and passions on hold to have a baby you don't want to and live like that for the rest of your life. People become unhappy, can't take it anymore and break up. This in turns scars your children because unhappy parents often do bad things. Those children grow up to never want a family of their own in turn. Every action has a reaction. Besides, a lot more people in the past would also pursue just career and travelling if it was their choice. And a lot would have families they want. Everyone has a different way of life. And that's okay.

I honestly feel the extreme spread of atheism is a major factor in declining mental health in society. Everyone now sees their lives as a tragedy. No ones content with anything anymore. No one feels the need to create personal codes for themselves and don’t have a reason to hold themselves to a higher standard anymore, or atleast not near as much as they did many years ago.

She wrote songs of suicide and that makes me sad but she is so strong.

I was talking to my uncle about offing myself, and he said: “Isn’t it bad enough that Patty (my mother) already had to bury one son, let alone both? If that happened it would break her heart completely.” That quote is why I’m still breathing.

I was suicidal throughout middle school and high school, hospitalized many times for thoughts. I told myself if I wasn’t better by 18 I would do it. Things did get better, even though I still struggle daily. Therapy and my family definitely keep me going. I want to hug this girl so bad because her and her brother help me through my negative thoughts, and the fact that she went through something similar, and that she is open about it, makes me appreciate her so much more. If anyone is reading this that is feeling suicidal please take it from me, it does get better, you deserve to be happy, and you are worthy of life.

being sad isn’t depression. A lot of kids or even young adults mistake being in a sad mood a lot is depression. What Billie had was real depression. It’s an illness worse than any sickness. Trust me. You can have everything you want in life and depression will make you not enjoy it. I went through a year of really bad depression. I had friends I hung out with, I went out and did things, I did my hobbies and interests. and it was still the worst year of my life.

Hey girl, I’ve been there several times and different years. Life is hard and you just have to hang on. It will pass, but I can’t say it doesn’t come back. You will make it! Ignore what people say and ignore how you feel about your body. You are young and you will change. I went through all of this. Every year I got older I got better. Now I have issues with being too thin, because of my age and maybe part of depression creeping back. We are living in a bad world and it’s hard to see the future. You have an incredible heart and talent. You help others when you sing. As well as Finneas. Keep going. It’s just the stages we go through in life. You are loved by what’s inside!

i actually used to be a little suicidal myself. And billie Eilish's songs kept me from ending it all. I was only about 11 at the time, and after hearing these songs something just hit me and i realized i still had a long life ahead of me, that that wasn't something i should just throw away. Sunny Sunny I don’t mean to be offensive or come off as rude as I don’t know you personally, but you really need to take a step back. I don’t think you understand how depression works. You may have it for all I know and are just not educated. That’s fine, but I would want to learn more about something before putting in your input. I was diagnosed with severe depression at eleven years old, and I can confirm that depression is not always caused by a “bad day”. I had a really okay childhood with not much issues. I was genuinely a happy kid, but one day I just broke down. There wasn’t a reason. It’s a chemical imbalance in the brain. You can gain depression from something traumatic happening (I have ptsd and definitely have gotten depression from it), but most people with depression have no root cause. I don’t know if you know this, but because depression is a chemical imbalance, it can also be genetic. Part of my depression comes from my mother and grandmother having it. You never know what someone is going through. I know you say some people are “faking it”, but you should NEVER accuse anyone of that. Sure, there are some out there, but you never know which ones are or aren’t.
