The noises at the beginning of I Didn't Change My Number, are her and Finneas' dogs Shark and Peaches play fighting. They recorded it and put it in the song. Shark is also in Oxytocin, when he is a puppy he barked during recording and they left it in and repeated it 🥰

It's a peptie hormone/neuropeptide released during bonding. Your brain releases when you're bonding/falling in love with something/someone. When parents look at their child for the first time, their brains (usually) release oxytocin. Recent studies show that both pets' and their owners' brains release oxytocin when they look at each other. It's a hormone that induces that feeling of connection.

Don't forget Bossa Nova, which is a type of samba originating from Rio. And Oxytocin sounds like industrial rock from the 90s. She's been working her way through the genres for a while now. Don't forget jazz and R&B from her earlier works. Some songs are like coffeehouse singer/songwriter tracks (with a Billie/Finneas twist). And other songs sound like they're influenced by TV theme songs like the Addams Family and the Munsters or Tim Burton movie scores.

the recording from "not my responsibility" was actually shown at a concert (i believe last year). It was like an opening to the show (correct me if im wrong) and she also showed a video of herself with it, where she kind of sheds layers of clothing/ for the first time shows off her body without baggy clothing. I believe this was also around the time she received a lot of body shaming (more than usual sadly). P.S.: I absolutely love your reactions to every song ( in every video) because you are always so pure and genuin. I've also been refreshing my page this whole day bc I was waiting for this one. The only times I’ve ever had actual, genuine, for real panic attacks (where I was sobbing, screaming, struggling to breathe, absolute sensory overload, etc.) were when I was having intrusive thoughts about that exact topic. I feel like the only reason I didn’t freak out when listening to that song was because of how soothing her voice was and I was mostly focusing on her vocals rather than the lyrics. I still cried but I didn’t have a panic attack, so I consider that an absolute win lmao.

This album gave me chills. Most of the singles that were released previous to the album have been on my playlist since then. My favorites are (there's no order, since I can't seem to decide which ones I like best): My Future, Happier than Ever, Getting Older (made me cry), Everybody Dies, NDA and Halley's Comet. Billie and Finneas are so talented and their work together is out of this world. The lyrics, the harmonies, her voice! I'm so happy how mature she is now and how her voice has changed for the better (she seems to be more confident and experiment more, that's what I'm talking about). Even though this album seems lighter than her last one, it got me really worried about her, though. She talks a lot about how unhappy she is with her career, with being famous, and everything. I was so happy when you said the rock Happier than Ever part reminded u of Olivia, because I felt the same thing and I'm here for it. Thanks for sharing your views on this album and all the other reactions you do. U rock, dude!

Happier than ever is the best track on the album - didn't expect it 2nd part to be written in a rock style, thanks to it, the music and lyrics hits you hard in the heart. Loved it And as always, thanks for you reaction. I love you analysis and thoughts expressed in a calm way, without all these screams and stupid gestures over reactors have

I absolutely adore everything about this album and I was having the absolute best time with every single song… but Everybody Dies was really rough to listen to lmao. The only times I’ve ever had actual, genuine, for real panic attacks (where I was sobbing, screaming, struggling to breathe, absolute sensory overload, etc.) were when I was having intrusive thoughts about the concept of death, the afterlife, everything coming to an end or an infinite amount of time, etc. I feel like the only reason I didn’t freak out when listening to that song was because of how soothing her voice was and I was mostly focusing on her vocals rather than the lyrics. I still cried but I didn’t have a panic attack, so I consider that an absolute win lmao.

And last thing I would like add is- You can't predict what billie's next project would feel like because she doesn't fits into a mould, she is simply Billie. Always delivers much more than expected and leaves everybody speechless.

also lol it won’t let me edit, male fantasy (the first half) is from her exe’s perspective, and the second was a childhood girl best friend who she broke up with and is comparing it to her ex bf, saying she could never hate them but she should, and so she is forcing herself to, so she can move on. and also another thing on overheated, when she said something like ‘I’m just like the rest of you’ and ‘’try to kill me, try to hurt me’ and ‘I was only built like everybody else now, but I didn’t get a surgery to help out’ is all about society’s unrealistic body images and how they couldn’t bring her down anymore about her body.

I’ll never forgive her for shooting the video for “therefore I am” at the mall I was working at at the time 😪 nah but in all seriousness this album was pretty hit or miss for me but the HITS hit me so hard (no pun intended) I saw stars. I left a toxic relationship in January & ive been navigating the trauma I got from it and have had this heaviness deep inside me I couldn’t get rid of, but when I first heard the drop in “happier than ever” I felt such an emotional release. It makes me sad but in a way glad that Billie, Madison Beer, olivia rodrigo, and I all dealt w and were done wrong by the same kind of men so we can bond over these songs cuz they’ve all literally said exactly how I felt & what I went through in their most recent releases

I agree! And I also think that Billie’s music is more enjoyable the first time one listens to it with the lyrics actually pulled up because it frees up mental energy to focus on the meaning as well as the actual melodies and production details. I hope that makes sense
