You seem to have a personality that is humble and amazingly tender and sweet. Your depth and willingness to share your deepest self is a reminder to me of my teenage hidden self. It makes my soul so amazingly happy that when Billie Eilish pitched this idea and conceptualized it for herself and for Lorne, that her inspiration was Fred Astaire and his tap dancing on the walls scene in Royal Wedding. She's so young and so talented and she could easily have said she got her inspiration from Inception (because they used the exact same technique for Joseph Gordon Levitt's gravity bending fight scene) but the fact that she's SO young, and SO creative and SO talented AND is knowledgable of and inspired by some of the truly iconic but woefully unappreciated stars of music, dancing and film makes my heart sing. If I wasn't already an enormous Billie Eilish fan then I most certainly am now!!!

Even though Astaire's & Richie's version of this ancient Hollywood stunt technique, goes way back, both gents where working with very, very mechanical rotators, that were operating in a very linear form. This one that Eilish was using, utilized a HECK of alot of digital steadiness and programmed A.I. to achieve even a more believable effect. WATCH the set, EXTREMELY CAREFULLY, just milli-seconds before the room flips by 45 degrees, you can actually see the camera framing jitter, just ever so slightly...I saw it EVERY TIME...just before the flip...and sure enough, Eilish, was in exact position. Sometimes it's a b#tch being in the audio, video & production industry, like I have been since flippin' 1979. Nothin'...no nothin', impresses me anymore. NOW...Eilish, performing, with a full set of studio musicians, seasoned session players that can sight-read, right on the dime and stay in the same groove until 6AM in the morning? Sorry...her candle would burn out...in what?...less than 5 minutes. OK...enough of my commentary. BCRadio

Fellow old fart here, from way back in the punk scene. There's still a few bands I like doing that stuff but man it's cool seeing someone do something that isn't rehashing shit I was into 40 years ago, yet still somehow seems informed by it.

If you watch the lighting and shadows you can see exactly when the room rotates. She pulls it off flawlessly and sets it up just right. Props to the person controlling the rotation of the box too, their timing was perfectly in sync with her. Billie is a muse, I dont there there is anything artistically she cant pull off and pull off well. I her beautiful eccentricity!!
