BILL WATROUS trombone slide preparation 1999
Great trombonist BILL WATROUS demonstrates his personal techniques for cleaning and lubricating the handslide. With his [pre-Mount Vernon] New York prototype Bach 16M Stradivarius tenor trombone, Mr. Watrous discusses trombonistic maintenance using a wrapped cleaning rod, Pond's cold cream and distilled water. Videotaped by "some smart dude" (Clyde Yasuhara) on June 6, 1999.
