usernameaeo It is like seeing women as wombs on legs with 'a moral obligation' the moment they conceive. All so the 'pro-lifers' can feel they've done their 'duty' and 'saved' a child. Usually followed by the woman left alone with a child to care for without any support from the pro-lifers. It is my opinion that if you have never been pregnant, you are not able to know what you're talking about. And even then, there are so many different people in different situations we know nothing about. And it is nothing new. Throughout history women have sought means to end unwanted pregnancies. At least in this day and age we can use our wisdom and knowledge to make sure it is regulated and done properly. Let's face it, abortion is a very complicated matter. There can be many circumstances in which abortion would be understandable. My only rocksteady opinion is that it should not be used as birthcontrol.

Mary Hunter Good points. There are plenty of women who already have children and are struggling to make ends meet. A disturbingly high number of pro-lifers want funding cut from "welfare" programs and public education; aka 'preventing starvation' and 'chance at a better life' for millions of people. In a perfect world, abortion wouldn't be necessary. But unfortunately, we have to make do with our less-than-perfect world, and abortions will still be performed regardless of legal status. Only difference is how many women die as a result.

Something to think about: I think many people watch O'Reilly's program NOT to get information, but for the satisfaction they get from watching someone (Bill O'Reilly) tear into and belittle people that disagree with him. Notice that ANY TIME a guest tries to calmly disprove anything he says, he cuts them off by yelling and taking childish low-blows to prevent anyone watching from actually hearing BOTH sides of the story. More sickening is I believe that is the actual INTENTION of the show.

She really didn't do that great of a job if you ask me. She was right. But doing a good job would mean she goes in there and manages to beat him, to shake the trust that his base has in him. That very rarely if ever happens because although O'Reilly is a fucking tool and can't make a valid argument to save his life, he always manages to keep the upper hand in terms of appearances. At the end she really destroys him with this reference to two events where his message has been directly associated to two acts of violence. But the way he just waves it off by putting on his ironic face and saying "I think everyone knows where you're coming from" after demonizing her, you can bet that not one single O'Reilly fan gave her a point. The way he discredits people is incredibly efficient and its disgusting.

Being a teenage girl who was raised by a very pro-life family, I think it should be a woman's decision what happens to her uterus. If she wants an abortion, she should be able to get an abortion. If she NEEDS an abortion, she had damn well better get one! Birth control should be easy to get, and sex needs to be handled thoroughly and in a manner that makes teens want to wait for love during sex ed. And men should not be able to force a woman to carry a child when she doesn't want to or can't.

Sorry everyone, I missed the bit where O'Reilly got "owned". All I saw was a lady with such extreme views that she cannot even say that a baby a few hours from birth deserves any protection whatsoever. Even "pro-choice" people aren't that extreme; most think late-term abortion is a step too far. This woman is a complete zealot. To refer to a man who charged $6000 to kill late-term babies for any reason at all (including the mother wanting a holiday) as a "hero" is beyond ridiculous.

I don't support abortion, but if the people want it and it's a legal institution then I also believe to abide by the laws of the land and the people. Whether all the people agree with it or not is controversial, but law's law.
