I grew up watching them. He just passed away yesterday 1/12/24 at the age of 98. Almost 50 years of marriage with Susan Seaforth Hayes.

I adored Bill Hayes. The best was when he was singing. He lived a good life. My deepest sympathies to Susan.

Doug and Julie are the most memorial couples of daytime. Bill Hayes is the most fabulous singer of his time. I still enjoy watching Doug and Julie to this day. You truly see how much in love they truly are. Bill and Susan are the best of the best.

Mom went crazy for this!!!!! She *loved* Doug and Julie She and I watched it together in tge early 1970s when I was in high school, I watched it in my dorm room in college, and after I graduated college and had my own place- I watched it with my boyfriend- who is now my husband. We've been together almost 41 years 😎😎😎 Mom, thanks for introducing me to Days ......and I miss you every day

Beautiful. Especially at the end when he raised his voice singing. You can hear how flawless and beautiful the tone was. He was amazing and will be missed. My Aunt loved him. I can imagine she is meeting him in heaven and he is singing. He will be missed. My heart goes out to Susan and their family.

Bill Hayes... what a voice, what a guy. Then you got Julie being serenaded up until Lee walks in... these were literally the DAYS. P.S. Brenda Benet was so beautiful here (and her entire time on the show, rest her soul).

I know. To think, she was given a lot of s*** playing the role (mostly for breaking up Doug and Julie), and then losing her son in real life and her tragic death...
