LYRICS:
O holy night the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new glorious morn
Fall on your knees
O hear the angels' voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night divine o night
O night divine
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new glorious morn
Fall on your knees
O hear the angels' voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night divine o night
O night divine
Ooh yes it was
Ooh it is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah
It was a holy holy holy, oh oh oh

The brilliant pianist, Anthony Burger, won the Gospel Music Award for best piano player 10 years in a row. He stepped away from the category, giving others a chance to win. The award was named after him. Sadly, in 2006, he died of a massive heart attack while doing what he loved, playing the piano on a Gaither Cruise. He was 44 years old. He was survived by his wife and 3 children. He was THE BEST!

And, yes, he’s getting into, but people put too much emphasis on delivery when it’s really the music and the vocals that are moving you. His presence and physical interpretation is just an added bonus.

This is the best version of O Holy Night. It is not a song that is easy to sing and it doesn't sound good if not sing with a powerful voice and full of emotion. You have to sing it picturing yourself walking through Bethlehem 2000 years back coming across a small place where there are animals seeing the baby has just been born--and you have to sing it like you want the world to know just that. He knocks it out of the park.

What you see in this video is a completely amazing pianist, Anthony Berger. He dedicated his profound talents to gospel music, and he was the best there ever was in that field. If you were to die today, are you a 100% sure you will go to heaven? If no, here is what the bible says, (1) Romans 3:23 KJV [23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Q1. Do you know what Sin is? Sin is anything bad that we have done. Q2. Have you sinned before? Yes or No? (2) Revelation 21:8 KJV [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Because we have sinned, and God does not allow Sin into Heaven, the punishment is burning hell. What is the way to reconcile our peace and relationship with God? Q3. Do you know the Story of Jesus? (3) Romans 5:8 KJV [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus = God who lived up in Heaven, but he came down on earth and became a man like us, he lived for 33.5 years without committing any sin. Then there were certain people who were jealous and therefore framed him on phony charges, and crucified him. Then he was buried and resurrected on the third day; Now he lives in HEAVEN. Q4. Do you know why Jesus went through all this bloody mess for us? A4. As mentioned, our sin is the reason why we can’t go to heaven, and the only thing that can wash away our sin is the Blood of Jesus. (4) Romans 5:9 KJV [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. According to the bible, the only way for us to reconcile with God is through Christ Jesus’s blood, and not through any works that we do or merits we accumulate, such as water baptism, attending church, or any good thing that we do. The following verses clearly support this. (5) Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. (6) 2 Corinthians 7:10 KJV [10] For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. In order to get saved, repentance of one’s sin is needed to get saved, we need to be sorry, and repent, with conviction, that we are a wretched sinner. (7) Romans 10:9 KJV [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. If you truly do believe in everything you have heard in the gospel, ,I strongly suggest you to make a proclamation to GOD! You can say it to God in less than 15 seconds !Repeat after this simple prayer, to make sure you truly get saved. Remember repeating this prayer doesn't save you, it's you telling God you BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. Ok, here is the prayer : ‘Dear GOD, I know I am a sinner, as I repent, I put my faith, that Jesus is GOD, and that he died, buried and resurrected, so that his blood, can wash away my Sins. I put my faith in that alone to save me, not my good works. In Jesus’s holy name, I pray. Amen! Congratulations ! Now you are a child of God. Download /Buy a KJV bible (I highly suggest getting a hard copy bible , as one day, it will be illegal to buy, own or even have an online version of the bible) and search for youtube channel like REAL Bible Believers , Spencer Smith to help you grow , study dispensationalism to understand the bible ( How do we reconcile the verses in the New Testament that tell us that we need works to show our faith, and another that tells us that nothing that can take our salvation away? That's why we need to study biblical dispensationalism to rightly divide the word of God.( study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, 2 Timothy 2:15) (I recommend the dispensationalism video from Genesis to Revelations by Dr. Gene Kim, kzread.info/dash/bejne/eX1opdaedanef84.html) , Jesus in Genesis (kzread.info/dash/bejne/hKGit82HhJibl7g.html) join a bible believing church. God bless you brother/ sister ☺. See you in heaven one day!

He set Guinness World record for highest hitting chest notes (which is a tenor) and sustained notes as well. This guy was truly gifted beyond any human I’ve ever known. I’ve heard some great voices in my lifetime. It’s crazy to think this guy is the best tenor. Making him the most powerful singer ever recorded. So far.

The greatest joy is accepting Jesus as your Savior, that gives a rest and peace in mind and heart. Jesus came to the world about 2000 years ago, to clear the way for us to God through His suffering, dying and rising from the dead. We have a hopeful future.....thanks to the Lord Jesus And I long for it David.... Not because I am tired of life or unhappy now....but I look forward to the fulfillment of God's Promises to us...yes, to everyone who believes in the work of redemption of the Lord Jesus. We may soon be with Him...., woh... then all suffering, pain, sorrow is over.... That prospect gives us the courage and strength to stand firm in this broken world.... And I pray for you and that many more will receive the Lord Jesus as their Savior....🙏❤

The best tenor in our lifetime. Even beating out Pavarotti in Guinness World Record for the highest tenor notes and highest tenor notes sustained. Which is no joke coming from the chest. It wastes so much air quickly. Somehow David can hold it until it seems as if he is on the brink of passing out. No breaks or cracks in the voice. Just pure talent. He could’ve made it anywhere. He chose to stay with the gospel arena in which God gave him his talent. What an amazing voice that was gifted to David. He didn’t waste it either. He shared such a great talent.

Pavarotti was an Opera singer, and while he is regarded as the technical golden standard in Opera, there are many tenors who are more appreciated than Pavarotti by real Opera fans, like Björling, Corelli, Gigli, Caruso... Also Pavarotti for popularity's sake insisted on singing repertoire that his voice was not made for. "Nessun dorma" is not an aria for a lyrical tenor like Pav was. Listen to Corelli sing that aria. But generally speaking, large chunks of your comment don't make any sense at all.

@Captain 7 yea I love the three tenors especially. But Pavarotti didn’t have range and was stuck to one style. In fact when Pavarotti sung with Barry White he couldn’t keep up and Barry dominated the show. However that wouldn’t happen with David Phelps due to range and sustained notes.

There seems to be a split between some people loving the whole thing and others just enjoying it from about 3:30 onwards when he smashes the high note, the choir joins in and it kind of balances out. For me, the opening 3 minutes are beautiful, yes he changes styles, yes it’s slow but that’s deliberate, because he’s telling a story, he’s preaching, he’s not just singing a bunch of random words to a given melody like most others who attempt this song. He truly believes in what he’s saying and who he’s saying it to, so he stretches that message out. That’s my thought anyway. It seems that no one can argue with this guys voice, his range and stability are outstanding and this for me is the most beautiful rendition of this song and it’s the first song I listen to every festive period 😊

Bill Gaither has spoken many times about David to people in interviews. One interview he did he said that David has been known to really get into the song he is singing. When the Spirit starts to move thru him, he gets more into the song and goes deeper and deeper. Bill said that you know David is deep when he starts to slightly shake. He spoke of one concert the GVB did that David had a solo. After song was over, Bill had to divert from the drawn schedule and go to a couple of different songs that David didn't sing because David became so Spirit filled during his solo, he literally couldn't stop his hand from shaking. Bill also said that during these songs, David has also been known to start to cry, not very noticeably, but the tears would be flowing. He said David has a hard time recovering from those moments quickly so they divert from the program to allow him to gather himself. David is a very spiritual and emotional person. He takes his faith very seriously. He doesn't take his voice for granted. He knows it is a gift from God and he is doing exactly what he knows God wants him to do with it. For that, he is rewarded by maintaining his voice where many had already started losing aspects of theirs after the same amount of time and by the natural aging process and its effect on the voice. I hope we continue to hear David perform for many more years. God has definitely given him a gift and everyone who hears him knows that.
