There is a word for people who understand and excel at many branches of science: polymath. I propose the same for entertainment. Bill Bailey is a polytainer.
That Starsky and Hutch music was spot on. Brilliant...
RIP Beret 4:42 - 4:48 Shortest stage life of a prop ever.
I see Bill Bailey doing this set at the Brook House pub Hayes Middlesex in late 1993 possibly early 94. The pub started doing a Comedy night on Wednesday nights, one pound to get in. There was 3 acts on that night and Bill was second on and he was Brilliant. There was only about 20 people there that night and and its a bit of rough place but he won them over. I wonder if he ever remembers that pub, long time ago now.
I love how he gets the music dead right. This always reminds me of Victor Borge's "Mozart Opera" routine.
Oh to live in the Bill Bailey Multiverse.

It would be chaos and madness... but I'd love every second of it xD
Fun to see the genesis of this bit in the Amazing Guide to the Orchestra.
Frickin' hilarious! Love this guy! Also Black Books was an amazing show. Love it too! :)
Been looking for that Starsky and Hutch clip for years XD
I like the Jazz News. I'd tune into that.

Jazz News: it’s not about the news you tell, but the news you don’t tell
Thank you to the uploader of this wonderful set by the genuis and lovely chap, Bill Bailey. I'm a bit sorry for the forty nine folk who have disliked this. I guess everybody has different comedy likes and dislikes so that's cool but its a shame anybody can dislike Bill. Thank you for making bad better!

It's true that people have different tastes, Dreamer, but in this case I have little confidence that those 49 people have any taste at all. It takes talent to do what Bill does, I love him. I watched 2 entire Dylan Moran sets last night, my sides were hurting!
This is almost like a precursor to his 2009 Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra...
Ecoute et repete. Ding! Fucking brilliant.

I think the most amazing part is he's playing an Ovation the whole time.

Why can't just Bill Bailey and David Mitchell just be elected leaders of the world. Bill controls the media, modern culture, drug administration, trading and logistics (because he will have a rather loose approach to them). David takes controls politics, justice, and all the other boring stuff (because he will make them funny). It should be a TV show called Bill and Davie Saves The World. Also, Varg Vikernes should be elected as administrator of immigration politics, gun regulations, agriculture, and legal penalties towards criminals.

@BB80Delta what's wrong with "murderous"? +7,5 billion people on this little planet which doesn't help on the hunger issues in third world countries, war and pollution. All could be saved by reducing the human population a great bit.

Seanpaul Smillie unfortunately no. It either got taken down or the uploader pulled it. If I knew were the footage came from would try finding it on torrents but not sure. Was thinking it was a clip from the stand up show which was an old BBC show (which might be a clue as to who flagged it for copyright)

3:59 Hello hottie on the left!
You go from that to 2 guys trying to make immigrants and fat people funny. I'll stick to Bill.
This guy has a great bit about 'Guns' and 'Steve Jobs'.....oh wait a minute, that would be BILL Burr. Oh I got it, this is the guy that did Cash Cab, he's hilarious!........on second thought, that would be Ben BAILEY................Now that I look at the guy I kind of recognize him, I thought he was bald though......actually no thats not right, that was Louis CK.........hmmmm WELL WHO THE HELL IS THIS GUY??!!

What?! Outside of America??!! You are kidding me?! Wow, that is crazy that I never knew that people existed outside of America. Unbelievable!! Extraordinary!!! And here I just figured the earth ended after sailing a few miles out to sea. You should really spread that news around. Where else would we be without people like you..........pointing out the fucking obvious? Im sorry you weren't able to get the sarcasm in my initial comment. So I figured I would really lay it on thick in this one so maybe just maybe you will recognize it. I know who Bill Bailey is. I was simply making a funny observation about his name being similar to two other comedians.......and he looks like a long haired Louis CK. Now all this seems pointless either way. Even if I was being serious, and I actually was confusing him for other comedians......this in no way implies total ignorance of other comedians outside of the US
@jeremybr2020

Reb Brown lol Dude I'm not the comedian here. Nor was I trying to be. I'm just someone who made a smart ass observation on KZread. If you didn't think it was that funny, then that's just fine with me. Simply more assurance that I chose wisely in my career choices, and did NOT go into the comedy field. : ) I am glad that you didn't think I was a stereotypical dumb American. In fact, I have no idea what dfss csss was trying to say regardless. Anyways, there is some new found hope for dumb Americans......apparently if I keep that idiocy going, I could make it all the way to the White House! GO TRUMP!! LOL.................Nothing??.......Still not funny? (Dammit, I need to find some better material.)
@jeremybr2020

dfss csss Holy fuck what in the hell are you babbling on about? LOL Ignorant and arrogant? Are you shitting me? It was a joke about the guys name being the 2 halfs of the name of two other popular comedians. What in the hell is so ignorant and arrogant about that? I can tell you, not a damn thing. I suppose you think you can just use words like ignorance and arrogance as some kind of ad hominem. But unfortunately for you, it doesn't work very well in this case. And I'm pretty sure I already said I wasn't the fucking comedian here. Do you insist on wasting my time stating pointless shit? As far as me writing a proper fucking sentence......What are you, my fucking English teacher??? LOL Go fuck yourself dipshit.

dfss csss lol Really? That's all you got? You would think you would of at least tried to defend your nonsensical comment about mine being ignorant and arrogant, when it was anything but. (Not that you could defend it, but I at least expected you to try. Disappointing) So let's recap, shall we. You make a critique about my comment that makes absolutely no sense. Great start dickhead. You then say I wasn't funny. Which was totally unnecessary, being that I already admitted as such. Pretty useless there. You top it off by actually telling me I need to learn how to write a proper fucking sentence..........here......on the KZread comments section. Pffff LOLOL And you think I'm lame? HA HA HA Now please don't let all that discourage you though. You keep coming back at me with those zingers. You're doing a bang up job making me look bad. Yep, that's what your doing.
What's with the lame audience? They were pathetic.
