Wouldn't it be great if he did win? So far away from your usual Strictly winner. An older white bloke who has rhythm from the top of his bald head to the tip of his toes and blows apart all the cliches in the book. He is the last person you would think could dance like this and yet he pulls it out of the bag every time. I can't help feeling (inevitably) some younger, prettier thing will win it, but it would be absolutely glorious for someone like Bill to lift the glitter ball. I've got to be honest - I had no interest in this series, but he's the one who got me watching. Also got a soft spot for Caroline. She's a great dancer, but too 'ballet school'. She's got it all going on, but the judges are right. She's got to get away from the beautifully pointed feet and everything placed so neatly, to really letting go. If she could do that, she'd be sensational.

Both Faye and Ashley from a few back were in girl groups and had to dance and Charles from the same season was I believe on West end where you dance. People can't just pick and choose who has an advantage

THIS IS HOW YOU COUPLES CHOICE. There is literally a movement attached to every single beat in the dance - that must have been an ABSOLUTE nightmare to memorise. It reminds me of Charles and Karen’s street/commercial from 2018 - both effortlessly cool. If you had said to me four weeks ago that Bill Bailey would be getting 10’s in strictly dancing to the sugarhill gang i would have told you to grow up, yet ladies and gents here we are. I think bill is becoming a bot of a strictly icon. 9/10

I wouldn’t call two lessons 40 years ago “extensive.” I did a couple of terms myself in my teens (I’m 4 years older than Bill) but if you asked me to do it now I wouldn’t have a clue! The secret of his ability lies in his innate musicality and timing; an apparent and enviable lack of arthritic problems and amazing fitness! Have you noticed the youngsters, after their dance, panting clutching their chests? Bill looks like he’s just come back from a stroll in the park!

@j j I had a tinted pair like that in 1986 from my mums friend Maureen. They were designer frames and I had the lenses changed. I think this song was playing in the streets of Amsterdam in 1987. I was scared of getting mugged watching the hip hop dancing in the street with the massive boom boxes playing this song and dealers hanging around. 😱 😨 I think Otis husband Marius lived there.

You can teach technique but you can't teach musicality, and Bill has that in spades. Bill to win!

I CANNOT DEAL WITH HIM. 10, 10, 10. EVERY SINGLE WEEK I LOVE THEM. I want to profusely apologise for feeling devastated for Oti when she got paired with Bill, because this man is my winner. Never heard of him before, but he is so loveable, funny, entertaining and most importantly, an absolutely amazing dancer. I have never wanted someone to win this much ever and I will be DEVASTATED if they don’t. Oti is also an absolutely incredible dancer and teacher. What a true gem for Strictly. 10.

I have never met a single person with a bad word to say about him. He did himself, Oti, his family, and everyone else proud. Watching him dance was a treat that took us away from all the crap for a while.

I honestly really hope Bill wins, he’s funny, really good at dancing, an “underdog”, a musical artist and just amazing overall. If he goes out I will be really disappointed hahaha

Oti is one of those people who makes me as someone with anexity and a bit of depression think "Id love to have a holiday in her mind" because she always seems so posistive.

I've got to be honest, Bill Bailey surprised me. I wasn't expecting him to be that good or go on to win Strictly. He's by far and away the most interesting contestant ever to take part in Strictly. Oti was one of my favourite Professional Dancers when she was on Strictly. I loved her. I still love her even after leaving Strictly. I've watched her being interviewed and interviewing people and she comes across as one the nicest people ever.

I LOVE BILL! If he is not in the final then it’s a fix 🤣

Ok... Wow!! I mean, I always knew he'd do well with Oti, but my expectations have been far exceeded! Oh my God, how amazing has he got?! A ten!! I can't believe I'm saying this, but as of right now, he's probably the only one in the competition I can see getting to the final! He's that extraordinary! Now Strictly has armed me. I’m watching every dance to see how Bill nailed each one

Oti is such a phenomenal choreographer!! This dance is pure genius. And all the praise to Bill for pulling this off, I really hope he makes it to the final.

At first i doubted Bill... But he definitly having it ! And Oti seems to know how to bring it out of him ! I love them so much !

Ok, I got Bill Bailey wrong and so did the producers who probably thought we will pair her up with some 'old' guy who can't dance. Well, it has backfired entirely. I have heard and watched him in passing, but that's it. I thought he wouldnt be able to dance and will be booted off in no time. Big mistake! He feels the music, he has rhythm, he has style and his timing is impeccable. Bill Bailey can dance. Make no doubt about that. Oti brings out the best in whatever celebrity dancers she is paired with. She is an excellent choreographer, a beautiful woman with a lovely personality to match from what I see. It's a 10 from me. 😀 Here is hoping Oti and Bill reach the final.

I have heard of Bill Bailey and watched him in passing, but he doesn't make me laugh. His dancing however makes me want to watch him again and again. My favourite comedians and comedy programmes are :- Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Laurel and Hardy, Joan Rivers, Frank Skinner, The Golden Girls, Angie Lamarr, The Real McCoy black sitcom from the early 1990's on BBC2, Alan Carr. Larry Grayson

@@mariam.556 His comedy is quite surreal, so not to all tastes. What is exceptional is his use of music within that.

Yet another brilliant performance by bill and oti which shows what hard work through the week can produce, plus of course talent.

Just when I think I can't love Bill Bailey anymore than I do, he does this. Loved this dance.

the fact that bill puts on the glasses upside down at the end makes it even better!

I think what made it great was it wasn’t pro dancer perfect but he made it his and that was what made it a pure joy to watch x

2020 was a crazy year but I'm so glad it will be forever remembered as the year Bill Bailey won Strictly. Absolute legend.

I can’t stop rewatching this clip. Oti’s initial swagger, Bill channelling the Blues Brothers- it’s a gift that keeps on giving. Bill to lift the trophy!!!

Definitely deserved a 10! This and HRVYs is the best for me so far tonight. :)

Bill has musical sense in spades.

weird how a musical comedian had the rhythmn and expression to win despite being a bit older. Some mysteries will never be solved.

Who else thinks 0:36 is like such a cool move, it's so well done honestly, perfect, love this pairs dancing 👌❤️

The producers really thought by giving Oti the oldest celeb who they thought couldn't dance would not have a chance of winning!! BIG MISTAKE!! Oti is a dance magician!! King Bill and Queen Oti all the way!! 🥰🥰❤❤❤

Well I can definitely tell he's worked so hard, would of never expected this routine from Bill from the start of the series, super technical and difficult routine and he absolutely sold it, absolutely brilliant partnership I'm starting to think Oti may keep her strictly championship two years in a row now, he's almost a guaranteed finalist now Superb, A well deserved 9!

Every time I get tired, this video energises me. Bill Bailey for prime minister!

A year later and this still bring as much joy as the first time!

Bill and Oti are so fun to watch and I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the trophy. Would happily see them win over another overly competitive stage school graduate! Just what is needed after a tough year, GO BILL AND OTI 😃
