Knee pain causes. Front of knee: seat too low, big gears, long cranks, hills. Rear of knee: seat high, seat backwards. Outside of knee: cleats toes point in, feet too close. Inside of knee: cleats toes point out, feet too far apart.

It's good to see the warts and all, easy to edit things out and make it all look like sunshine and rainbows all the time. Both enjoy the rest of your trip. ❤

Loving this adventure.! Just got back from France myself...! Watched Cavendish at St Vulbas. AMAZING !! Recommend to anyone to go..the atmosphere is fantastic . Cycling heaven,smooth roads, beautiful food , weather, lovely french people who don't swear or try and kill you!😂 Amy its so refreshing to see a cyclist who makes healthy food choices! It's not all about calories! Your stats say it all..! I can't believe the cake,chips, coke diet..!! Blood sugar spikes can make you hangry !&What about heart ,liver, digestive health! It was nice to meet you and Kyle getting on and off the ferry on the first day of your adventure. It looks like it delivered on the thrills (and spills) of a French cycling trip - great fun. The Audax BRM event I rode ("La Route des Vignobles", from Mayenne to Chablis and back), took us over the same high ground with the radio masts as your Day 2 route. No time for a top of the hill dance, though!

You arrived in my territory...(I'm about 15 km from Arnouville) you missed the best bits which are just to the east of where you were. ! Most reliable places for water in France are cemeteries, there's always a tap (for watering flowers), and in small villages they are never closed. Saves on plastic ! If you buy something in a bakery or have a coffee in a café or bar, if you ask nicely they will usually fill up your water bottles too.

Hi Amy and Kyle, I’ve been looking forward to the France videos after seeing what you were doing for your next adventure on Strava 😊 what a great route you planned 👌 little villages with lots of character to get the true sense of France 👍 I did a similar thing on my first trip to the 24 heures du Mans endurance motor race in June 1987, avoided the main roads and made the journey from Calais part of the holiday and not a mad dash to get there 👌😊 looking forward to more on KZread of your adventure in France 😎

I have been guilty of doing the "mad dash from Calais" to Normandy and Brittany several times but decided to take my/our time and have never regretted it! "Ordinary" France is blummin fantastic!

What a beautiful ride, you sure lucked out with the weather👍Not much climbing for a change😉I only did 68 miles today and climbed almost 5000ft, after 5 consecutive 100 milers it was good to enjoy a shorter ride and I stayed dry😊Awesome first episode, you guys are sure putting in the miles on those Pinarellos😁

Totally relate to just not being able to choose and it all being overwhelming. But you did the right thing having a back up option! We’ve just written a post ride refuelling plan because I was struggling with stopping eating when stopping cycling and not replenishing. And we have a few options but also an « if all else fails and you just need to get something in » option (cereal bars)!

Maybe Kyle is like me and he needs his preferred drink to go with his lunch (when he would not eat the baguette or take your water). I do that all the time and it gets into the occassional argument. Sometimes I get real hangry and stop for fast food, but then wont eat it until I get home, and the person with me proceeds to grill me about why I am not eating. I explain I forgot to order the soda (or have it at home), so have to wait until I get my soda to eat. I just stubbornly refuse to eat unless I have my drink (absolutely refuse to drink water. Nope, nope, nopety nope). I cannot eat food without my preferred drink. It drives people crazy when they see me do this.

Choosing french bread is a páinstaking process 😂

Kyle is right you got fuel up for big rides. But it hard eat the right food on tour. I am Type two Diabetes it is even more harder. I am sailor and doing Championships eat morning and late the evening when shore. Find something that suits you and going with it.

Think intrigue, affairs, gossip, parties, sex everywhere, at all times, every way possible. He died forgotten and in great debt ~30 yrs before The Revolution

Job Well Done Gang, Yes The back roads of France are so nice and quite and free of traffic , and 16 euros is about right for a pizza in France , and i enjoy the moaning and crumping and the little chats about mental health , its good to get it of your chest and not bottle it up , as my good lady (who was a Mental Health Nurse/ Sister for 30 years keeps telling me). looking forward to part two. keep safe Paul.

No I work Tues-Thurs I took annual leave for this and the giro ☺️ and our other trips have been long weekends abroad so no annual leave used 🙌🙌

Has Kyle done any physio for his knee? I had 5 sessions where we worked on strengthening and have been ok since! It's well worth doing

@@amy.cycling.adventures I’ve got a pair myself. Used them for the first time in France last month. Together with the AeroPack, they are the ideal size for credit card touring. I was really impressed with them. Totally waterproof, on and off the bike in seconds. The T-hook straps are ideal for attaching things or drying clothes.

first impression, they have pinarelo bicylces and they bikepacking with it. that's passion and also being rich, if I have a pinarrelo I would not use it even :(((

It’s not about being rich, it’s about creating a KZread channel that loads of people enjoy, and making a premium bike manufacturer notice and want to sponsor them and give them bikes.
