This video is a restoration of the GT xcr 1000
I wanted to paint the gt xcr1000 with the gt idrive team.
I tried to save the Shimano xtr m950 parts, which were top-notch at the time.

Ich finde das sehr geil dass man die alten Fahrräder nicht mehr wegschmeißt man kann sich auch richtig gut aufbauen und restaurieren und nachhaltig halten❤️❤️

The GT i-Drive is probably my favourite bike of all time. That flying seat mast design is amazing. Nice job resurecting this frame- looking forward to seeing the build.

I broke 15 idrives and they all broke at the seat mast..

@@chuckdavis572 I broke one. The seat tube broke just above the bottom bracket. GT replaced the frame for free. Amazing that you broke 15 of them and kept buying them…

I have a I drive 1.0 with the same problem, cracked above the BB. Is there any way to fix it ?

@@chuckdavis572 GT went through some big changes. I still love the i-Drive. Good to hear they invested in some good feedback and R&D
So lovely to see a full size bike! It's also really refreshing to have lo-fi music for your rebuilds, a great improvement!
beautiful work! True enthusiasts will know this is a refurb as that color combo was not available in 1999. Those drop outs are 1999 only.

look at the bottom bracket ??!! never seen that before , except on some old decathlon bikes!
How did you get the swingarm off? I just bought an iDrive tonight, and after taking the bolt out, the swingarm doesn't come out, it seems like there is a tube that is pressed in that would have to be pushed out somehow. But it's so thin, I don't know how that would happen. Also mine has a lot of play in it, like there should be some sort of washers between the swingarm and the frame that are gone or worn out.

@@tipoctojiellika7736 реставрация это доведение полуразрушенного или частично сохранившегося предмета,объекта и т.д, до состояния каким он был в оригинале,а тут обычный причём исправный велосипед ,это не реставрация.
