Bike Park Wales Epic Ride - Worst Crash I've Seen
Ticking Bike Park Wales off the bucket list is a must if you've never been. Trails for all abilities and a superb uplift service. We travelled all the way up from Portsmouth to hit this supreme spot. Even with the thought that storm Freya could spoil everything.
This was the first group trip I've organised outside of my local. 6 people from my Facebook Group "MTB Fanatics" tagged along for the ride. Join if you wish. It's a good place to chat.
With everyone at different skill/ability levels. We all catered for our own needs and hit some trails together but others in little portions of the group. Either way, meeting at the bottom of the trail to do the uplift together. This way everyone can enjoy Bike Park Wales and ride within their limits.
Feeling good and confident, we hit into Wibble Wobble and Ben has a big off on the berm. This scared the lift out of me as I knew this was a big hit. He was thrown clear of the bike and hit the ground hard enough that it knocked him clean out. I didn't know myself that this had happened until I got closer. Luckily it all worked out in the end, and apart from some body aches and pains Ben got away likely here.
It was a fantastic day, and storm Freya stayed held off until we left. Then it started to chuck down. Lucky really!

Hi Mike great video on the mountain bike to trails in Wales was your mate ok when he came off his bike was his nose broken but anyway I really liked the video I must have ago at that one day great video and thanks from mark from UK England

Great vid mike ! Looks like a few changes since I’ve last been there - top best friend award for handing Ben a tissue on crashing ! My mates would have gone through my pockets and wiped my wallet
That was some dismount 😵 had to giggle at the prompt offering of the nice white tissue...trail Doctoring at its finest 👍🏻

I hope your mate got himself checked out - concussion is a very dangerous thing and can have delayed effects. Really hope he is ok and rests up properly. Great vid by the way. Not been to BPW for a while but looks like a return visit needs booking!

Those trail-Fairies are working over time there keeping some of thoise trails buffed out and smooth. Some of those lines look fun AF though... :D

He’s very lucky. Mine ended up with degloved mouth, stitches to gums at 3 am, CT scan with concussion. Bike park WALES, making and breaking mtbers daily. Great vid

Myself and my son went to morzine last summer for our first bike holiday aboard. First day 2nd run on the trail my son had a pedal slip on a jump and bounced of and landed on his butt.. Thankfully some local French kids helped him off the trail.. My had bad grazing and bruising on his butt. He could bearly sit never mind ride a bike. Thankfully after a few days rest he was able to enjoy the last two d days.. Fun times!! We going to bike park Wales this summer.. Bring it on!!!

Bike Park Wales, it's good, but a bit too 'manufactured' like a lot of modern trail parks. 'Bad crash' was just a normal off lol. I took my mate to the easiest trail centre in the UK (Sherwood Pines) and he broke his collarbone 2mins into the ride......
He was just doin a superman into the bush, no crash here

Wow! Great riding and nice track. Who builds all the bike tracks in The U.K. and are they on private land or state owned land?

They're a mix. This one is privately owned, but many are on taxpayer owned Forestry Commission or community owned land.
