Your work is always a joy to watch and I have learned a lot from them. I have even applied some of the techniques you use on a small scale with model building. My bike is still the flat black undecorated blank canvas as when I bought it. I have not come up with any designs for painting it. I will keep watching your videos and perhaps inspiration will hit.

I was thinking exactly the same thing! I suppose that he's trying something new??? I enjoyed the video anyway. The only thing that I missed was Martins sense of humour..... "getting your girlfriend to sand the bike frame" or "getting your granny to knock out the rivets!"

Looks awesome as usual. not so sure on the white 'Decals' personally. Would a reverse decal fade work on the chain stays? (looks good in my head, but actually transferring that to a bike? not so sure it would/could work)

Hi Martin, I've been watching a few of your videos now, great work but you never mention what type of paint you are applying and why. (Primer) automotive paint? (Base coat) white or black, also automotive? As in 1k or 2k? (The colours) is that acrylic? Can you literally paint one type of paint on top of another? Finally (Clear Coat) 2k I see that in the links below. Maybe you could do a video explaining what paint you are using and why? Last time I painted anything it was cellulose based, things have changed 😂 Many thanks 😊

You can use what ever you want. It's not my frame.
I’m pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say, don’t scratch the paint.
Hi Martin, kannst du mal ein Video über Spray Can Color Shift Farben machen? Custom Canz zum Beispiel ist da ein Anbieter. Wurde auch in dem DIY Spray Video von GCN verwendet. Würde mich sehr interessieren was ein Profi dazu sagt.

Why at the beginning of the video are you drilling thru the screw of the Front derailleur?

It was fastened with rivets and must be taken apart before painting.

Yes I use palm oil for a soft skin.

Ich benutze nur Profi Ausrüstung. Mein Kompressor kostet 16.000€ die Kabine knapp 30.000€ meine Pistolen zwischen 300 und 600€ die Filter 300 pro Filter die Farbbänke 4000€ pro Bank.
