Bike fit with Ivan O'Gorman
In October I stopped in to see Ivan Orgoman in Boulder Colorado on my way to Palm Springs. We started the bike fit process on my new Canyon SpeedMax. Here is a little video from the first fit session we had together. Aero Testing on the track next week in LA.

Lionel , don't be so hard on yourself. One of the difficult thing is your talent and fast results hasn't allowed for an average leading curve. You were thrown into the deep end fast. Keep positive this is a great step!
Cant get better than an Irishman giving you a bike fit :-)

So you get a bike fit on a machine then transfer to race bike all good, then you go to the wind tunnel all change again, where's it all end???
THANKS FOR SHARING!! Lov watching the progress !!! Go get it champ!!!
Had the privilege of pic/meeting Lionel yesterday at Indian Wells. Such a gentleman.
It's great to see how you've reflected on less than desirable performances in the past year and are rethinking how you approach everything. I really hope it works out in 2019 because you really deserve it.
That bike fit seems to be worth while already just for the coffee, looks yummie. All the best with changes, new bike and 2019 season

I go around to Ivan's weekly, purely so he can pull me a shot of espresso! He's pretty meticulous, even weighs the grinds
Thank you Lionel for sharing this experience opennely !! Whis you going to the air tunnel next step. Have a nice race on Sunday, i'll watch you closely !
Very excited following you in your journey Lionel. I'm wondering why you didn't get a complete bike fit at Canyon or if you did, why you are getting another opinion.
Very excited to see you get world class help Lionel. I wonder what “so and so with the fast bike split” will have to say about this 😂😂😂
Excited to see the results at Indian Wells!
Looking good, Lionel!
Those hips are niiiiice and open! That’ll make the run waaaay better. Lionel, your armpad stack looks a little more upright compared to before. That’ll help with breathing. I’m excited to see how it all comes together.
Big ups on the choice of the music in the video Talbot.
Keep the content going man 🏃
Get it buddy. Best of luck in Kona.
LOOKING FAST!!!!
Лучший! With love from Russia ;)
Ivan is an amazing person🎉❤
Great video
what's your crank length? shorter cranks could increase your saddle height and possibly help level out the back.
I really like that espresso corner. 😎
Yeah! Smart moved Lionel!!!! What a boy! yes and great concept.......one time bike fitting doesn't last forever! As your body change due to training load, injuries, body weight ...the fitting has to be re adjust with the athlete evolution!!!!!! Smart moved Lionel, love to see you getting smart using your strength! Alohas from Maui! the half ass term is very wide use, but not for you anymore you are a PRO!!!!!!!
awesome
Way to be open to advice !!! The info through 2019 will pay dividends after the feedback and discipline to not being overtrained.
Reggae music is totally great "chillaxin" music !!! :)
7min in and your position on the bike already looks better.
what specifically will you be doing to improve mobility Lionel? I have similar weaknesses (lack of flexibility in hips, back etc) considering yoga, excited to see what happens in 2019
Que bueno seria que los videos pudieran estar subtitulados, hay mucha gente que seguimos este canal, y la informacion que se muestra en los videos, a veces son dificiles de seguir.
Crack a Smile Ivan!!! Up The Dubs!!!!!! 😜😜😜😜😜😜
Leomo numbers for pedaling dead spot? - did you use on the open road? or just Retul in the lab fitting?

dead spot is proven to be normal and efficient. Your hamstrings are never going to be equal to the quads and glutes so dont bother trying to overwork one muscle and under work the rest
Lionel getting me lucky charms
It will be possible to have french subtitles in yours videos ? It will be perfect !! Good job👍🏼
Crash Davis (Bull Durham): Oh, hey, and another thing, Meat. You don't know shit, all right? If you wanna make it to the bigs, you'll listen to me. Lionel Sanders: I don’t know nothing about nothing. Looking good.
Now the good runner´s getting depressive . Who will ever catch him after bike ? ;D
This dog has a bette life than me 😂
CDA baby!
I wonder what frame size this is?
In 33 seconds that is....
CANT LIONEL JUST KEEP HIS KNEES IN ?

There might be 3 personal reasons for that! Lol

Maybe his legs or hip joints aren't the way they should be. I got injured trying to keep my left knee in. My left leg is crooked. The solution was to adjust the cleat so that I can comfortably and outrageously wave the knee out, be less aero, and be able to stay healthy.
Am I the only one that had a Boondock Saints flash back?
Thats some hi tech equipment there. Hiw much does a bike fit like this cost?
dude has OG in his name
Looks like he raised his pads quite a bit.
anyone else thought that at 5:00 it was just Lionel changing his voice and not the guy doing the bike-fit? :D
What I'm missing are specifics - what was improved and how. Like "we moved Lionel's saddle half an inch back so his jewels don't numb". The general stuff about bike fit being important, etc., not so interesting. This video is a bit form-over-content, if you ask me. Yeah, the form is pro. Gonna give it thumbs up because of it, and because I'm a psychofan ;)
Is that a Cork accent boy?

Guy is going to one of the best bike fitters and comments are still full of bike fitting 'coaches'... Stay in your lane.

haha, this guy is decent but not close to the best bike fitters out there in aero/efficiency terms. stay in your lane

Dear Mr. I don't know what I'm talking about but still think my opinion matters. Please present facts to support your opinion or keep it to yourself. Perhaps you can let the 8 Ironman world champions, countless Olympic and professional triathletes, as well as professional cycles know that Mr. MH-370 from know one cares thinks Ivan is "not close to (one of) the best bike fitters." But of course, they wouldn't care.
Great add for Canyon, but hey, this is at least totally relevant and I can appreciate it. And it is working. I for one am strongly leaning towards it as my next bike. Just waiting for the disc version. Until then I believe I was the first to call DIBS for this black one to be a hand-me-down from @lsanderstri to me over at @beckysanders9128 Instagram a few weeks ago.
IOG is brilliant. Defo not scatterbrained.
Good stuff. Repeaded your self a lot. On purpose?
These bike fits are OK but if your an endurance racer of 112 miles your position will change through your race. My question is, do these bike fitters actually go out riding with you for a good distance to watch how you're body behaves? What's comfy in a sterile basement will not work at 70k..

I like how he was such a gentleman by letting the lady on first at the beginning of the video. Such a gentleman

Great you got a bike fit to ride your bike in your pain cave. Now go get one for riding your bike in a race.
