The starter gear on the flywheel is not like a flywheel weight. It uses a sprag clutch, the gear only turns when the starter is turning, or the engine is turning backwards, it's completely stationary when the bike is running. I have the same engine/radiator protector, I ended up cutting off the radiator flap and making a mudflap for the fender, the radiator flap will hit the fender and scuff it up under full compression.

It's nice to hear what other riders' tricks and bits use for their motorbikes.... Gives you ideas on how to spend money! Especially if they have the same bike as you!

Might want to keep the kickstarter in the truck at least. My e-start TRS is a couple years old now, and I do find the kickstart necessary on a cold start on a cold day sometimes. Maybe I shouldn't say "necessary" since I've never actually cranked the battery dead trying, but I don't like to sit there and crank on it.

i have a 2024 TRS ONE R 250. To fit the S3 Hardrock pegs, did you have to drill out the S3 footpegs bolt hole and drill through the footpeg mount on the frame? On my bike the TRS's footpeg mount is threaded and the standard TRS peg bolt and mount holes are larger than the bolt holes on the S3 pegs.

As an older rider with fairly big hands, I will be intrested to know how you get on with the grips! Nice bike though ;-)

Would you please make a video, or just share some photos about the wiring? It seems you get it better than factory. The original wiring causes lots of problems...

Lovely upgrades Craig and shows how many cool accessories there are available for fine tuning a stock bike. What would the additional cost be to get a standard bike up to this level ?

The bike already come so highly specced and this build was a bit extravagant coming in just ovrer £1000! Thats a lot of personal preferences and more bling factor rather than performace. If a customer came to us asking for the bike to be well protected from the british weather and wanted to soften the bike off you would be looking around the £90 mark.

@@bvm-moto great advice, it’s a great video to show how someone could max out on extras should they choose to, all parts readily available from BVM Moto to personalise a riders bike exactly how they want it and tailored to individual budgets ✅

Would you not just point a customer wanting softer power towards the R model? Or does the RR have some advantages over the R if it is altered for softer power?

  • @bvm-moto

@@TheSimonvalente Yes we would recommend the One-R for those looking for a softer power delivery, the One-R can also be softened more again out of the box ans doing so makes it softer than what you can on the RR models due to different porting. BUT we do have a fair few customers that still want to go for the RR model purely for cosmetic reasons, even though it might not be the right bike for them.

The extended float bowl is a ghetto hack to "fix" an unrelated problem, but doesn't actually fix it.

Montesa Cota should be designed a new frame, new swing arms and a lighter engine case to match the light weight of other trial motorbikes. BTW, please make a new exhaust pipe instead of the ugly old one.
