It's great to know you have beta access! Hey, if you can give SoundSwitch direct feedback and ideas? Here some good stuff: ☑Option to drag auto-loops into track sections for a quick hybrid workflow (like Mark suggested, certainly top priority!) ☑Grouped fixture 'parents' should display something when sub fixtures have stuff going on, like dots or a zebra ☑Better overall multi-cell management, like a pixel chase generator (I suggested this in the EngineDJ forum) ☑Less vertical scrolling overall (hotkey + button to open/close all grouped fixtures at once) ☑Quick white strobe overall effect bank (-> overriding existing colors & chases) ☑The selection box needs a better contrast color, like green instead of blue, its hard to see! ☑Option to display Beat markers in even numbers (4 - 8 - 12 - 16 ... - 32 ... - 64) ☑Option to snap your selection box / cursor to the next 4-beat bar ☑Option to entirely disable position/movements (e.g. if you don't use moving lights at all) ☑Quick jump to next/previous music track without the need to open the library every time ☑More copy+paste possibilities across fixture tracks and different music tracks

Yeah, fully agreed with those points, I also struggle with large multifixture sets on my 16“ Macbook, there is sooo much vertical scrolling and I also miss the option to either drag and drop custom autoloops into track sections. Stuff like that would soeed up manual prepping dramatically 🙏

Nice walkthrough! Good feature and a nice step forward by SoundSwitch. But, I'm looking forward to the day where I can script a track by dragging my autoloops onto the track, or where I can autoscript a track and specify what group of autoloops to select from for each track section, like we can do with attributes and positions today. For me, that will be the game changer. Once I have loops defined that look good on my setup, I want a way to easily script tracks using them.

@SoundSwitch yep hear this guy, I want the same, MOST PEOPLE WANT that. Plus options for better multi-cell management, less vertical scrolling overall, more chase options option to entirely disable position/movement stuff (e.g. when you only use LED pars/wash lights) in the GUI, quick white strobe overlay effect, better selection box contrast color (like green instead of blue), beat markers as 4...8...12...16... (even numbers), snap to next bar feature, option to collapse/expand all folders/groups with one click.

About to take the leap into SS in the next week or so and came across this video. Excited to get into it!

Pretty good update for sure. Given some of these pixel tubes are 144 diodes per meter...having some more fine controls over mapping is going to be a pretty high demand to make smoother animations in tubes. Still, nice work by the team (and with the video). I reached out asking them for text editable shows...hopefully someday that gets added. One thing I keep seeing - you don't get as much randomization in color between the various fixtures. When one is teal they all tend to go to the same. I'd love to have it implemented where they know which colors are complimentary and have those included in the randomization.

I am very excited to start using this for a background light show while livestream DJ'ing. I'm a DMX noob so I went with the more budget-friendly Nanlite PavoTube T8-7X with 16 pixels. I purchased a 4 pack for under $400.00 and the DMX-USB adapters were an additional $80 or so. I also have NanoLeaf Shapes and Philips Hue lights. SoundSwitch emailed me back in one day to let me know they were working on adding the PavoTube T8-7X after I sent them the DMX Map and Manual PDF's via email.

Daryl, I appreciate your videos! Have you looked at Maestro DMX? If you know about it, it would be great to get your opinion on that. I am in a band and also run lights from the stage, so simplicity is key for me. I wish SoundSwitch provided me a way to simplify my setup so I can focus on performing on stage rather than queuing lights. I am hoping Maestro DMX will give me that freedom and provide a more simple setup.

You can batch edit songs, or you can use the autoloops (there's up to 32 of them) and it will just automatically apply one of them at random to your current song.

What im not sure about this program is it pulses everything and you basically get backouts every beat or every few seconds.

Please make a tutorial on how you got the MA 2 visualiza to work with sound switch

Got a question that I hope relates to this. Here's the scenario...all files are auto scripted. I added a new fixture to my setup. Do I need to reanalyze and reautoscript my entire library to incorporate that fixture into the autoscripted light shows? Or, is there a way to "batch" auto script that fixture into existing auto scripted light shows?

With phrase editing, I think you could turn off the fixtures you don't want scripted and the engine will only script the new one

Not necessarily, your new fixtures will listen to the master track color and intensity

One question... how do you see on the screen on the right side a simulation of how the spotlights and lights look, as if it were real?

How do you get MA 3D to look like it has your lights and the stage? I got MA 3D to work with soundswitch but it only shows a basic version of my lights. E.g. it just shows a fixture with a single flashing light to represent my gigbar and the same for my 12 light colour bar.

You can change the visual model to a different type of fixture. I changed my led par to a normal par and they look way better. I've done the same for the gigbar and I'm afraid there's not much we can do. It's beyond my abilities to create a custom model for that

@@DJDarylBennett I'm glad it at least shows the moving heads since physically setting them up purely for testing purposes is more difficult than my other lights anyway.

New to SoundSwitch, if I run my tracks through SoundSwitch using some lights and then add lights later, do I have to run all my music through it again?

Your new lights would listen to what's on the master track. So they won't just be lifeless. But rerunning might give better results

Nice feature. But I still cant turn on more than one static look at a time? They seem to focus on really involved new features & forget the basics. Disappointing is an understatement.

While layering static scenes might be useful, there's many other solutions that offer that. I'm sure they'll add it eventually, but people like SOundSwitch because it's unique

Again I'm quite disappointed with the latest update. We were promised better implementation with Phillips Hue more than a year and a half ago now and still it hasn't arrived. What's the point of releasing new features with autoscripting and chases for autoloops, if we can't use this in our home setup!

Well most DMX software only support a minimum of hardware. Luckily the soundswitch dongle is super affordable

I hate saying this but your guests dont give 2 shits about how the music goes with the lighting. Plus you and I are playing the same bullshit songs---I wanna dance with somebody, september, trhis is how we do it, etc. It really doesnt matter.
