It couldn't be the fact that he outplayed last season NFL rookie of the year in Stroud. He couldn't possibly have anything to do with him running a pro style offense for a head coach that has a history of molding NFL QB and a head coach that has one of the highest winning percentage in the NFL. Coming from a lifelong Vikings fan! JJ will be the steal of the draft if we land em. I’ll be so happy! I’m just as confident in McCarthy as I was in Anthony Edwards coming out of college. I’d rather have him over Maye, Williams, Bo Nix. The only other quarterback I’d want is Jaden from LSU. JJ is 220 with a cannon arm and extremely accurate with the most confidence and humble. Perfect combo. Williams is entitled and cocky and lazy and will not be anywhere as close as good. Some players, you can see right through them, and you can tell their love of the game. Others you can tell they just care about the money and fame. Intentions paired with elite talent determine the outcome, also their personality.

Generally the most highly touted college QBs don't have very long NFL careers for many reasons, not the least of which includes their skill set not working in the NFL. JJ has been developed in a very NFL-style offense that was very run focused. What he also has going for him is that he isn't the biggest QB and so he doesn't have to go to a dumpster fire and be expected to be the savior. I told the Ravens that if Lamar does his thing against the Chiefs you'd better keep your backup QB warmed up because they're going to hurt him.
