During this time, I was jumping in victory for my country the Philippines. But at the same time, a little sad for Ms. Columbia for her 5 minute victory. It was nobody's mistake. The flaw was unintentional.

Felt bad for both queens Colombia was Miss universe for 6 minutes and Philippines couldn't get that beautiful crowning moment

I think Columbia went on to become a successful actress and Pia a very successful model and entrepreneur.

The true victim here is the Miss Philippines, atleast the Colombia experience the Ms Universe for a short minute and become famous but the moment of Ms Philippines got stolen

Wasn't it very obvious when Pia was infront with Miss Colombia she didn't acknowledge Pia and totally ignored her. Which it means she deny to accept her defeat. I think her actions is not for Miss Universe. She lost because her true color witnessed by everyone around the Universe. I don't feel sorry for Colombia at all.

I felt so bad for Miss Columbia as well as our very own Miss Philippines. I felt bad for Steve as well. Yes, he made a mistake. But he is human and humans make mistakes. He profusely apologized and graciously admitted his error.

Wasn't Steve's fault at all, the contest's ridiculous ranking system of runner ups in 1st and 2nd place is too confusing. Winners should always be on 1st place!!! 🙄

The card had miss. Universe written in bold and as a host and I'm guessing it wasn't the first time he was hosting Ms. Universe, he should have known better or at least read the card properly

Considering this card has to be read in front of both a live audience and during a live broadcast, it needs to be extremely clear what the relevant information is and the winner's country wasn't in bold nor in large text and positioned where the thumb would cover. Like I said if winners were listed in 1st place, this would have automatically avoided the error at least.

I'm from the Philippines. I always respect the winner. But the mistake really made our queen felt depressed throughout her reign up to this date. She was not crowned the proper way. She was mocked and even had the worst comments in her life. God kept her safe and sane. She is our 3rd queen who brought the crown again after several years. She is a testament of humility and strength among us.

In her interview, Miss Colombia sounded so self-centered. She may be more bonita than Miss Philippines but the new winner will be way beyond beautiful inside and out!!! she truly deserved the crown and is the Queen!!!👑

No wonder the other girls were not rushing forward to congratulate the new winner and hug each other cause it's over. And the audience were just standing. The organizers and the show's director immediately jumped into action. The error had to be corrected NOW !! So awkward for Ms. Philippines. She couldn't express her joy because she felt the pain of Ariadna. And we felt the pain of Ms. Colombia too. But the biggest mistake would be if the error wasn't corrected at once and the real winner was not revealed. THAT WOULD BE THE BIGGEST ROBBERY. As much as we feel for ms. Colombia, it would be a sham, a travesty and an injustice if she kept the crown. When Ariadna stood silently and let Paulina remove the crown from her, i commended her for her poise and dignity. No histrionics, emotional outbursts. That is courage. When Ms. Philippines went to Ariadna who was being consoled by the other girls, that was empathy. No extreme outbursts of happiness from Pia. She felt for Ariadna , when she could have jumped for joy at the fact that she was the right winner. The other girls were saying ariadna was a snob and had an attitude. Maybe so. The other girls who comforted Ariadna could be heard shooing Pia away. They were being bitchy. Maybe so. But that is not for us to judge. The mistake was corrected. And the two girls showed grace and poise that night. And the right winner was given what was due to her. So we have to commend the miss U organizer for acting quickly.

STUPID HARVEY !!!! This mistake should have BANNED YOU FROM PRESENTING ANYTHING !!!

I'm watching this now; the biggest blunder in beauty pageants in history. The blunder is with Miss Colombia too, for not wondering why the pageant host didn't ask her to take her first walk as Miss Universe. She just stood there and celebrates herself, whilst the host disappeared, only to come back to announce his mistake. Bonkers!!
