Chris Victor here from royal Fw, ( email) this is what I need, all my rounds are this big but harder wood, don’t mind paying extra, just want the strongest and also quick cycle time if possible
@WolfeRidgeSplitters
3 жыл бұрын
@@VmedranoMr We can get this down to 7 or 8 seconds on the cycle time with the Kubota Diesel engine and 42 gpm pump, that is as good as it will get. Fast cycle time usually means that it doesn't have power... The only way to get both speed and power is to strap on bigger HP and pump.
Just came across this older post,and all I can say that's a mighty big splitter, I'm doing stuff like that with a box store splitter, after I noodle it of course
NOW THAT'S A BAD ARSE SPLITTER!!!!!

Us volunteers in east TN who give away free firewood to the truly needy NEED a splitter, doesn't need to be THIS big !!
awesome
Very impressive, I think the 8 way will go all day every day but the 16 way had me wincing a bit; kinda had that trying to push 6 inches through a 5 inch gap sound that might not be good over time even though it's super beefy.
nice upload friend

It was a special order unit to be only used to produce splits for a boiler. Boiler wood is suppose to be big. It wasn't to be used to create pizza wood.

A few of the pieces were Elm which some consider hardwood...but didn't have any Oak or Hickory available at the time.
Chris what pressure are you running at. It certainly is higher than 2000 psi. I use the double sensing valve to but if I crank up the pressure I am not sure how to rsync the double sensing valve so that it doesn't start return to soon
*NICE* and a _sixteen way wedge???_ 😍🥰
Needs taller sides on the split side. And pusher plate needs to be bigger. But pretty badass.

I have a 6 way on my timber wolf and have found the the 3 way does a lot better unless you have the perfect size rounds going through the 6 way. The 4 way seems to make better splits even if you have to push through a few times

Patrick Fennessy I have access to some of that myself .a friend of mine used to have a setup that did chunks like that off a veneer mill , we could load a 15yrd dump trk in 45 mins.
It seems like on the bigger rounds the box wedge does a better job at making consistent sized wood. Doesn’t seem to matter who the manufacturer is the
What steel did you use for the wedges ? How hard?
