Watching this video just made me realise how the defense can't go near receivers appearently and how inconsistent calls are. Idk how Minkahs hit on the Viking is a flag but the jets hit after that isn't. I don't think either of them are flags but if you call one call the other or don't call at all.

This is the same thing that pisses me off every time I see flags thrown on hits like that. Like if you lead with the helmet, should be a flag every time. They need to learn that that’s dangerous for both parties. And shoulder hits that aren’t directly on the helmet should never be a flag.

Actually the solution would be to remove the entire defense from the field during the game. That way the receivers can catch the ball safely.

It's crazy offense barely gets called for helmet to helmet hits, they're allowed to grab the facemask but it's disguised as a stiff arm

@@354allday The refs have started calling alot more facemask for offense. Stiff arms are allowed to be used to the face but the second the offensive player grabs onto the mask its a penalty.

I agree but the other problem is alot of players want to lead with their shoulders to get that big hit and a good portion of them turn into helmet to helmet contact plays. Only way to avoid this is for them to go lower when leading with the shoulder or just wrap them up the old fashion way.

That’s fair, but you gotta remember these men get payed millions to take these kinds of hits. Just how the sport is. They know the risks of playing in the highest level of football. And besides, these teams have invested loads of money towards state of the art medical teams, they’re all gonna be fine. 👍

The hits show how dangerous the sport can be but that is part of the reason why a lot of people watch the sport and why people want to play. Adrenaline with the danger really gets people running and exited, and that's why people want to play the game.

I'm all for defending receivers who don't have the ball in their hands and take ridiculously unnecessary hits. With that being said, there were a lot of penalties in this video that clearly weren't. Also, Adrian Amos is one of the most sound tacklers in the NFL.

And if referees make a certain number of these calls that are wrong in a certain number of games? Dock their pay for each bad call. If they continue doing it after the fact youve disciplined them and warned them? Terminate their employment immediately following the game. At this point, there should be a zero tolerance policy for this bullshit behavior from the refs.
